Anyone waiting on Clark Com. College letters?

Published

The deadline of Oct. 1 is way passed, now we are just waiting on a yes or no. Anyone else waiting with me?

I am waiting with you. They told me that it would take about 8 weeks after the deadline to receive a letter. So mid-late november. I am so anxious. I had a good amount of points and feel good about it, but you never know. How about you? Do you live in vancouver? I hope we get them soon! :nurse:

I live in Portland, but have my eye on Clark for a while now. I have 45 points, how about you?

I live in Gresham. But I have done some research and they have many portland clinical sites which caught my attention. I have 44 points. Looking at the statistics, that has been good enough for the last three entrances, so hopefully the points needed don't shoot up by much (if at all). 45 is a strong number too. Hopefuuly we both get an acceptance letter :) Which area of portland do you live in? Where did you do your pre-requisites?

I live in SW Portland near Washington Square. I did my prereq's at PCC Sylvania. How about you? As far as our points, I honestly think we will get in but the wait is still horrible!!!

I think we'll get in too. I did all my pre-reqs at MHCC. I am finishing my last pre-req (nutrition) this term and I am done! Then, in January, I'll be getting my CNA license. I'll be applying to MHCC and Clackamas CC in the winter as well, but Clark is the first place I applied to and it would be great to know I am in somewhere for sure. I love that Clark has no interview/essay too. I called Clark yesterday and spoke with a gentleman in Admissions and I asked if they had mailed the letters out yet and he said that they hadn't and they will most likely be mailed out more towards the end of November. So I assuming that means we probably wont get them this week :scrying:. Hopefully sometime next week. I really hope we get them before thanksgiving. Will you be applying to any other schools?

Sadly this is the third try at Clark, i redid a couple classes to up my points. I have applied at PCC twice, and never got my lottery number picked, and Chemeketa. However, Chemeketa you need to have all the points to get in including the 2 points for being a alternate. I have looked into MHCC and Clackamas, but the essay/interviews really turn me off to the school. I am not good in interviews and I just never felt my chances being all that great there. One of them gives extra points if you work as a CNA, which I never have. At this point, its Clark or Bust!

I am sure this will be your year! Pcc has sooo many applicants, you only have a 10% chance of getting your number picked, talk about lucky. You'll have to let me know as soon as you get your letter and I'll do the same. Good luck! If we both get in maybe we can exchange emails so we can keep in touch.

Ugh! Still No Letter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me either. I think they are a little behind. Hopefully we get them by thanksgiving. I dont know whats going on:confused:

I also applied this year. I am looking in the mail everyday but nothing yet. They told me that it would be the 1st or 2nd week of December. I hoping that I get in for the spring quarter. I have 48 points with my CNA license and also have 8 years of medical experience. I am hoping that my medical experience will help me out. I wish you guys the best and that we get into the program together.:yeah: I hate the waiting period.:crying2:

With 48 points I honestly believe there is no question whether you will get in or not. Good for you! HOpefully there are'nt that many of you with 48 points so those of us with 45 and 44 have a chance hehe!
