Anyone waiting on Clark Com. College letters?

The deadline of Oct. 1 is way passed, now we are just waiting on a yes or no. Anyone else waiting with me?

What quarter are you hoping to get into? I really want Spring because the sooner I have been waiting for two years to get in, but this is the first time at Clark. I have applied to PCC for 2 years, Clackamas, and Mt. hood for 1 year. I am tired to waiting:cry: I wonder where the clinical are at because I live in Portland. I heard good things about Clark's nursing program. I hope that we both get into the Spring quarter. :nurse:

I would love to get into Spring, but would be delighted with Fall. I mean just getting in would be awesome. I too applied at PCC twice already. I believe they have clinicals in the Portland area. I applied to Mt. Hood once, 2 years ago, but never Clackamas. Also did Chemeketa, but that was a waste of $70!

Have you heard anything negative or positive about the program? I wonder what the schedule would be like? I am soooooooo nervous to check the mail! I am just glad that there is no interview/essay. I am not good at writing under pressure. Have you been to the campus. It's very nice and I heard that they have the best nursing lab. Have you taken the CNA class. I just finished mine in end of October and took my boards one week later. It's a pretty easy course.

I have heard nothing but good things about the program. I asked Barb Davenport (nursing dept.) about the clinical sites and she said they do have a few portland sites and that Legacy, SW washington medical center, providence, and the VA hospital were all clinical sites. She didnt say which legacy and providence sites though. I am so nervous waiting for my letter. I have 44 points and hoping that I at least get in. Sure, if I had my choice I'd want spring, the sooner the better, but just getting in would be a blessing. I havent been waiting to get into a program or anything, I just finished my pre-reqs this term and this is my first time applying to clark. Excited about that. I hope we all get in. We should get our letter sometime this coming week or by the end of next week at the latest.

I spoke to someone in admissions today and they told me that we should be getting our letter some time next week. They also told me that there were around 300 qualified applicants. They are only selecting 98 students for the Spring and Fall Quarter. I am more nervous now because there are more applicants this year compared to the previous years. :o Wish you all the best. Hope that we all get our acceptance letter.

I dont think you should be nervous. You say it is more than previous years, but if you look at the statistics, the last round was just a hair under 300 apps and then before that was 265ish. Compared to the 1000 apps at PCC for 100 spots, I think this is much better chances. With 48 points I think you have no reason to sweat it. Now me and Siobhan, we can sweat until we get our letters!!

I dont think you have anything to worry about either. In april, people got in with the same amount of points we all have or lower. After students responded, people with 43 points ended up getting in and they were only accepting 48 students. This application (10/1) they are accepting twice the students with the same amount of qualified applicants, give or take 10. I may have something to worry about and maybe Julia might, but definetly not you. I still think we all have a good chance but you never know. I am so sick of waiting. It makes me so nervous!:bluecry1: Good luck. Please post when you get your letters so that I know when to expect mine.

only couple of more days until we hear something. i am so nervous. i hope that we all get in the same quarter. that would be great. i don't plan on checking my mail until next week. let me know if you guys hear anything new. let's hope for the best!!!!:D

It's very nervous. I think that we have a good chance but until I have the letter in my hand, I am not sure. Let's hope for the best. Do you have any other classes left to take?

I am so done with prereq's it isnt even funny lol! No, I have nothing left to take. Just nursing classes!! I even got their silly little PE credit they require done. And you want to know the funny part? The PE was a online class... LOL

I have been taking prereq's since Fall 2005. Just when I thought I had them done, I find something else I needed. I also retook 2 of the A&P's to raise my grade to A's.

Are you taking anything left to take?
