  1. First year applying, missed last years deadline. No clue what tier I am, I should find out though. Wish you all the best of luck!
  2. Mine was RN. Thank you!!
  3. The pamphlet says 48 business hours, but I took mine Friday at 8AM and got my results this morning (Sunday). I'm pretty sure pearsonvue does testing on weekends and you can get your results on the weekend.
  4. I felt the hugest thing that helped me was knowing normal lab values, and the understanding the side effects when those are off. And taking TONS of practice questions, and reading the rationales especially for the ones that are missed.
  5. PVT works! Took the test 7/8, got the good pop up within an hour, just got my quick results as a PASS!! YES!!!
  6. Ok, well you certainly put me in my place didn't you? Yes dental assisting and RN programs are different. That's a no brainer, I was speaking of these kinds of schools, or institutes, people don't view as highly as going to a college. You may believe you get great education, and you probably do but I dont know personally, from reading this thread alone you can understand what I mean.
  7. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but the red flag for me on these colleges is I think you get in on a first come first serve basis. I called around when I thought I would never get into nursing school and found out the credits dont transfer, so it seems like a waste of time. Also if your accepted on a first come first serve basis, seems that pretty much anyone who can pass their initial test can get in. So good for those who may have poor prereq grades, but for anyone who is competitive in the pool of nursing students, in my opinion, should steer clear of these programs. Also, my previous experience as a dental assistant taught me that graduates of trade schools (such as Apollo and Everest) get considered for hire last, with those from Colleges getting considered first and usually getting the position.
  8. My school breaks it up into 3 quarters. You might be on a semester system with just Fall and spring semesters. Where we have 4 quarters a year; fall, winter, spring, and summer.
  9. Wow, some fantastic grades there!
  10. I just got accepted into the school of nursing at Clark College in Vancouver, WA. The best feeling ever!
  11. Yay!! Congrats to you too! We should exchange emails to keep in touch.
  12. No, it doesnt say anything about spring quarter at all. Just a bunch of papers telling us what we have to do before the start of the program. FBI background check, vaccinations, physical exam, $200, and if you have your CNA in oregon we have to do some AIDS/ HIV training. But I am so excited, I am just beside myself. With your 48 points, I dont have a doubt in my mind that you got into spring. But please do let us know when you find out!
  13. I wanted to tell you Siobhan, my friend who has 43 points also got in! So you are as good as in!
