can we all stick to the topic... i know everyone wants a copy of the files but at least post some info while you're at it ;)

some few tips:

pr interval: 0.08 - 0.12

qrs interval: 0.12 - 0.20

no pulse? cpr! no defib...

with pulse? defib! no cpr...

oops edited it hahaa. got it the other way around

random fact:

*pheochromocytoma ..a tumor of the sympathetic nervous system/adrenal medula..it produces excess norepinephrine and epinephrine..therefore, the s/s that you would see include--hypertension (the major symptom), headaches, nausea

random facts-

pt on pitocin and there are late decels- stop the pit, turn pt on side, apply 10L o2 vis facemask. bolus iv fluids, call doc

in psch safety is 1st intervention

ob Emergency:

never give coumadin becasue it crossed the placental barrier, Give Heperin

Mag Sulfate is standard for convulsion therapy in HTN during pregnacy and also use for preterm labor.

Mag levels 4.8-9.6

Magtoxcity- hypo active, increase resp, slurred speech, decrease UOP, give Antidote= Calcium Sulfare 1gm over 3 min and can repeat ever hourx8 per 24 hr. Give IV. NO PUMP

Proventil inhaler then the Vanceril inhaler

Proventil S/E: tremors, headache, hyperactivity and tachycardia

Vanceril S/E: fungal infections, dry mouth, and throat infections
