OK I know this sounds stupid but I have a friend that gets really freaked out before big tests like finals, HESI, NCLEX, and usually we get together and a few days before I start throwing out random facts at her. On 2 different tests she said the only way she got several questions was from the random facts that I threw at her that she never would have thought of!
SOOOOO..... I thought that if yall wanted to do this we could get a thread going and try to throw out 5 random facts or "things to remember". NCLEX is coming and the more I try to review content the more I realize that I have forgotten so......here are my 5 random facts for ya:
OH and BTW these came from rationales in Kaplan or Saunders no made up stuff:
1️⃣ A kid with Hepatitis A can return to school 1 week within the onset of jaundice.
2️⃣ After a patient has dialysis they may have a slight fever...this is normal due to the fact that the dialysis solution is warmed by the machine.

5️⃣ Impetigo is a CONTAGEOUS skin disorder and the person needs to wash ALL linens and dishes seperate from the family. They also need to wash their hands frequently and avoid contact.

im going to take my 2nd try in nclex-rn next month...i just like everyone here if the question gets harder and complicated on the second time?.,i just really want to pass....i know i still have more than a month left but im really worried now about that and not passing it again...i know im studying but i still get nervous feeling that i wont make it....i try to teach myself that i can do it....can someone here give me some advice or words of encouragement, i'll appreciate it more than you'll ever know...thanks:heartbeat:D
I'm gonna have to look this one up because I would go with the sputum culture for the CONFIRMATION. And I am only saying that because of the order of how they do things for us in the hospital as employees: TB skin test, if enduration of 7cm or more then a chest x-ray and if that shows something then a sputum cluture and the fun of "name that bug". Gotta think about the fact that if you CULTURE it, you KNOW it is TB but if you get an x-ray you could be seeing something else. DANG...I gotta go and consult my med/surg book again just to make sure!
actually u are right.. and the conformation is done by sputum test.. so plz don't choose xray..the rationale behind it is what you just said.xray can show something else and doesn't indicate TB..
