anyone took 2 weeks to prepare?

Published

hi guys:

I need your help. I have 2 weeks to go before my nclex and i would like advice from anyone who had this little amount of time to prepare. What approach did you use and did you pass or fail? I have the Saunders CD and the kaplan q trainer i have done 3 tests on the trainer and have scored 60% 69% and 69%. i have not attempted any tests on the saunders cd as yet. Thanks a lot. :chair:

Good luck to you sweetnnurse. You did much better than me on Kaplan's test. I think you are ready for the test. I took mine three days ago and passed with 75 questions. I did spend many hours a day to prepare it between 9/13 and 9/23 (about 10-12 hours a day). Hope that helps.

congratulations, loved. :nurse: :smiley_aa Thanks for your kind words and encouragement. I'm about to do exam 6 today and some Saunders. When im feeling a little down, i reread all your responses. I'm sick, right?!

hi there,

this is my first post, not sure how to use. anyway i graduated in may1998 and took board in january 1999. would not take board unless i knew i wold pass on first try. i figure no rush, though i was broke(mom gave me $$ to take test), figured i had the rest of my life to work why rush and fail. take all the time u need.

How long have you studied thus far? You mentioned that you have "this little amount of time to prepare". Most people give themselves at least a month to 6 weeks after school to take it. If you believe that you need a bit more time, you have the right to reschedule; just don't take too long. Best wishes!

I agree with the rest, however, if you want something just like the NCLEX please visit this link: http://www.learningext.com/ it is created by the NCSBN. It is only $49 for a 3 weeks access and it gives you over 3000 questions with the end with questions and answers. I also used the Saunders CD and I passed with 75 questions. Good luck.

I did it, guys!!! :w00t:Thank you all for your tips and for believing in me! To suzanne, i thank you for taking the time out to send me your plan. I used it as best as i could and it really helped me tremendously. :thankya: I want to thank Jules,Lena and all you guys for your tips and support. trust me, i followed every word.Yes! i did the kaplan CD and i did a few Saunders quizzes. I finished the test with 81 questions and have been sweating since Monday. I just checked and found out I passed!!! (i am still pinching myself).

RNKay31, i want to officially thank you for being there for me when i couldn't find the strength to go on through this confusion. It meant a lot to me and i will be forever grateful to you for that. Again, thank you guys!

To "helloyou" - a vast majority of people can and do pass the NCLEX exams, most on their first try. If you spent as much time studying as posting rants about the exam, it might be easier...
