Anyone taking Nursing at Solano Community College in Fairfield, Ca?

It ought to count for something, it's worth a try. I say get your transcripts evaluated asap! So if there is anything they give you credit for you don't end up already registering for it. Good Luck!

Hi everyone! I have one more quick question: does the program only accept SPCH 001 (regular oral communication class) or can interpersonal communication be accepted as well?

You guys, I am so sorry to disappoint everyone but the waitlist for registered nursing at solano community college takes AT LEAST 2 years!!! I know, I am on the damn list! When I was taking my prerequisites, I heard the rumors that it only takes a few month or much less than 2 years....well...unfortunately, it's not true...When I first got my waitlist number, it was in 438. Now, after I have been waiting for a year and a half, the number changed to 140. So, in Fall 2009 it will be exactly 2 years since I have been waiting and I am not sure I'll get in even in Fall as I have been told that there is a big possibility that I won't make it in Fall. So, if I do make it in Spring 2010, it will be two and a half years wait. I finished all the classes required and all the general education classes...and still waiting. So, it does take FOREVER!!! I am starting to wonder if I'll ever get in :cry::angryfire

irchik, Thanks for posting. I'm so sorry the wait is so long. That's gotta be frustrating. I was going to apply to Solano as my 1st choice. I have one more class next semester.

RNBound83, I wish you good luck! Solano Community College is a wonderful college. I love it! It's just....I absolutely hate it how long it takes to get into their nursing program. But, I guess, it's pretty much like that everywhere, unless it's a private college.

irchik, Good luck with the wait list! Have you applied to other schools? I don't know how you're commute is, but I heard that Sac's program is pretty good as well.

Hi im going to the Registered Nursing Information Workshop tomorrow. I have all my pre reqs and I was wodering if any one knows how long the waitlist is? My husband is in the Airforce so knowing this infor is crucial. Does any one know?
