  1. I just wanted to let anyone who is on Solano Community College nursing program waitlist know that there will be no spring 2010 nursing class. From now on they will only accept people into nursing program once a year in fall semester. That’s 30 people a year!!!!! Only 30 people a year! Imagine the wait time!!! People had to wait two to three years when they were accepting students twice a year and now it’ll be even worse! If anyone knows any more information about this you are more than welcome to share. I was supposed to get in this spring…I am so very sad…I can’t imagine what I am going to do now. I think this is going to be a tragedy for many people.
  2. sneagle25 you are getting closer to you goal :))! now let’s see. your number is 172, right? you just got the letter that was probably dated 10/1/09. last october 2008 my letter stated that my new waiting list number was 130. in the beginning of february 2010 you will get another letter and your number will probably go down by 35 or so after they accept students for the spring 2010 class. so your new number in february will be around 137. my number went down in february 2009 and the new number was 95. with this number 95 i did not get accepted in august (fall program). however i am starting the program this spring, as my number now is 24. so, if my calculations are correct you will probably get accepted in the spring class 2011. but hopefully i am wrong and you’ll get in sooner. i waited two and a half years. i hope you don’t have to. as far as the schedule goes i am not sure, but i think once a week you’ll have to be at the hospital for some clinical work at around 7:00am. you can actually go to solano community college web site and see the schedule for nursing. just login, go to look up classes and pick nursing from your class drop down menu and you’ll be able to see the last semester’s schedule. hope this helps and good luck!!!
  3. Yes, the waiting list at Solano Community College is looooooong! I have been waiting for two and a half years now...and I am not even sure i'll be able to get in this spring as I was unable to get a straight answer from anybody. So, if I don't make it this spring (2010) then my wait will be three years long. I have aleady passed the TEAS test and still nothing
  4. i am currently on solano community college rn waitlist as well. my number is a little less than 100 and they told me i am not getting in this fall which means by the time i do get in (hopefully in spring 2010) it will be two and a half years wait time for me. unfortunately your wait number is not based on your gpa.
  5. RNBound83, I wish you good luck! Solano Community College is a wonderful college. I love it! It's just....I absolutely hate it how long it takes to get into their nursing program. But, I guess, it's pretty much like that everywhere, unless it's a private college.
  6. You guys, I am so sorry to disappoint everyone but the waitlist for registered nursing at solano community college takes AT LEAST 2 years!!! I know, I am on the damn list! When I was taking my prerequisites, I heard the rumors that it only takes a few month or much less than 2 years....well...unfortunately, it's not true...When I first got my waitlist number, it was in 438. Now, after I have been waiting for a year and a half, the number changed to 140. So, in Fall 2009 it will be exactly 2 years since I have been waiting and I am not sure I'll get in even in Fall as I have been told that there is a big possibility that I won't make it in Fall. So, if I do make it in Spring 2010, it will be two and a half years wait. I finished all the classes required and all the general education classes...and still waiting. So, it does take FOREVER!!! I am starting to wonder if I'll ever get in :angryfire
