Anyone taken the NYS exam for LPN?

Hi,
I want to take the NYS exam for LPN's but I don't even know what's on it. Is it all nursing, or is there general questions too?

Hi, i just took the exam two days ago in NYC and passed. I reviewed for five days. The questions are also comparable to nclex-rn questions (use the saunders and lippincott nclex rn cd to practice). A lot of medications, priority questions, NI, delegations based on fund, ob, peds,m/s and psych. Although the questions are difficult esp with priorities and delegations, i came out feeling good after the test and when i hit 84, i was 99% sure that it will stop at 85... and it did. Use ABC's and Maslow esp those priority questions. There were questions too that i can answer right away (therapeutic communications) and some that i have no clue at all. Pay attention to details. I remember there was a questions about cerebral MRI and there were 3 options there about prosthesis (leg, shoulder and eye). I was ready to answer the wrong question based on MRI when i re-read the question and noticed the word "cerebral" so i chose eye prosthesis.... that kind of question. Take time to answer the first 85 questions, don't rush, chances are you will pass. I beleive that either you have a good concept of the material or you don't -- if you do, then all you have to focus on is how to use the test taking strategy.

Im about to finish the first year of my BSN program and I am able to sit for the LPN exam. Where do I get info on where/ when/ etc. to take the test? Thanks!
