Hi I would like to ask anyone from here if you know of or you are personally one of the few who have succeeded in getting a CA LVN license after studying in the Philippines. You may have applied directly at CA or may have diverted first in WV before the reciprocity process. Please enlighten us.

Hi! Im a registered nurse here in the Philippines and is currently waiting on my spousal visa. I was just wondering if I can start my application for lvn even if I dont have ssn yet? I figured it would save time if I start applying now while Im still here in the PI waiting for my petition... Please help me... Thanks in advance!

I mean maybe they can let me sit for the exam but not release my license without my ssn?

Not in CA, as posted in the other threads. No SSN = automatic rejection with no refund. You are not eligible to apply to CA for RN or LVN until you have a valid-for-work social security number

Yes possible.

What is possible? CABRN & CABVNPT will reject any application without a valid social security number and have been for years.

CABRN and CABVNPT have automatically rejected (without refund of fees paid) any application for a nursing license by examination or endorsement that fails to include a valid-for-work social security number. They have rejected anyone without a valid SSN for 5+ years now. The member above implied you can get licensed in CA without a work-authorized SSN and that is not true.

So Sad to see a student with a four year degree try to chase a LVN job that what only takes a few months of school in USA....

Sad reality

I'm also an RN in the Philippines. I'll try to apply for LVN exam.

Are we on Method 2 or Method 3?
