Anyone starting @ VCU this summer?

I'm starting the accelerated second degree program at VCU in May 06. Is there anyone out here that'll be starting, too???

I tried to e-mail my update to Ms. Kiefer yesterday but it says she will be out of the office until the 12th. Is there somewhere I can send it where someone will get it more immediately to put with my application? I also have a friend who had a question on one of her pre-reqs. Is there someone she can contact about that to get a more timely answer so she can register for a class if necessary?

I had a question about pre-req's. At Virginia Tech for my major we could either take Microbiology or Cell and Molecular Biology. Cell and molec was supposed to be the more rigorous version of microbiology. I was wondering if that counted toward my microbiology pre-req or if i have to take microbiology this spring. I have signed up for it but I don't want to pay for it if I don't have to, obviously. Thanks!!

Hey there! I just conferred with my Admissions Coordinator and she said that the Cell & Molecular would NOT count. So I'm glad you're signed up for a regular Micro course. Go ahead and take it :-)

Hi Whitney,

Glad to see you are on this forum too. I have a lot of questions, so perhaps through email is the best.

I'm wondering, if I am up for review, is it helpful to meet with anyone within the department. As I just wrote you in an email, I am coming to VCU this Friday or next Friday.

Has anybody heard yet from the VCU SON for Accelerated BSN starting summer of 09? I've read the letters are going out Feb 1...

The AB letters are in the mail. They should all land in mailboxes within the next 2 weeks. If you haven't heard by Friday, February 13, please call the office 804-828-5171. But PLEASE try to give it till NEXT Friday.

Accelerated Master's decisions should be going out at the end of this week.

Please contact the School of Nursing if your address has changed since you submitted your application.
