Anyone starting @ VCU this summer?

I'm starting the accelerated second degree program at VCU in May 06. Is there anyone out here that'll be starting, too???

Hi, not sure if anyone is still keeping up with this thread, but I am considering applying to VCU's accelerated master's program to start in 2010 (I know the deadline is in less than 2 weeks). I was just wondering if anyone knows how competitive it is to get accepted (# of applicants vs. # of spots, etc.) or if an interview is required. Thanks!

I was thinking of applying as well but have since changed my mind. I did get some info from the school and there are usually about 250 applicants and last year I think they accepted about 80. I have heard that it is VERY competitive. The average ACT score I was told is usually around 25 or 26. I have read posts where people made the waitlist with 4.0 gpa in the prereqs and over 3.0 gpa in undergrad degree. Good luck!

Hi,

I have just mailed all my docs to VCU. You should visit VCU's weekly session, they give out average scores for the previous class. I scored a little above average for GRE - 1310, with GPA 3.82. THe only thing I am not really confident about is that i have 2 Ws, and did not do great on GRE verbal 550 only.
