  1. Hokie11- I'm looking for a roommate too!
  2. I could not find it when I searched. Could you post a link?
  3. I graduated in December 2009. I'm doing the Accelerated Bachelors program.
  4. I got in today too! I graduated from VA Tech too with a degree in animal science and have been working as a care partner!
  5. Awesome, Thank you!
  6. Thanks you all! From my brief exposure to statistics in genetics I felt like it was mostly plugging numbers in to equations, is this pretty much true? But I think you have sold me on taking it online. Thanks again!
  7. Thanks! Yeah, I am just a little concerned because I am not really a math person either. I have taken genetics which applied statistics quiet a bit and I did well in that class. I really would prefer to take it online, I just was wondering if anyone found it extremely difficult.
  8. I'm interested in learning Spanish to help with communication at work. Does anyone know the best way to do this? I've heard Rosetta Stone is very good for learning Spanish, but does anyone know if it covers medical terms? What are the other options out there?
  9. Has anyone taken a statistics class online? Thoughts on this? I'm a second degree student trying to get my pre-reqs done on time while trying to keep my work availability open. Thanks for any feedback.
  10. I'm taking in this summer online. Class starts next week!
  11. Yeah South Boston would probably be far for you. I would say probably like an hour and half from Amelia...
  12. Yeah, I'll let you know how it goes! Which campus are you applying for? For the Daniel Campus the clinicals are either at Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, or at Halifax Regional in South Boston. For the Alberta campus its either South Hill or Emporia. Good luck to you as well!
  13. The only pre reqs I need are SOC 200 and ENG 111...I'm taking SOC 200 and HLT 230 online this summer. I plan to take ENG 111, NUR 120 and NUR 135 in the fall. I already have a B.S. and had placed out of freshman english at my college, so I'm hoping they will let me skip ENG 111 and just have to take ENG 112. If not I'm going to try to take those online as well. I'm on the wait list now at Lynchburg College and was on the wait list at VCU for their accelerated program, but it doesn't look like those are going to happen. I was in at Jefferson College of Health Sciences but it was way too expensive. So I hope I get into SVCC because its my only other option! My fiance lives in that area so I plan on moving there in August!
  14. I'm hoping to start the nursing program their next summer!
  15. It is completely doable. I took one and two last summer in consecutive 5 week sessions. I was in class Monday through Thursday 8-1:15 then went straight to work from 2-6:30. Home to study and gym at 9:00. And I Aced the class. It just takes a lot of determination and time management and I pretty much gave up my weekends. But I actually really liked the 5 week sessions cause everything was very fresh in my head when it came to test time.
