I'm 40 and I have 6 months left before I'm finish nursing school. In my school we have a variety of different ages. I really enjoy learning around the SEASONED adults. When I was younger and in college I wasn't to focus. however, as an adult learning I'm more serious and focus. You have the advantage of being and adult learning because you are more serious, focus and you have age, in addition to life lessons on your side. Good luck and just think of yourself as a SEASONED learner.

I started LPN school at 39 and wasn't the oldest one in either my LPN or RN class so no worries! You will be fine. :)
Wish I was standing in your shoes. Its funny Now at 45 I am wondering what the heck I was thinking when I was younger. All I thought about ?? well you can imagine, boyfriends, clubs, my nails, hair, parties, my car, shopping, sqeezing into a size 5. A faithful Lane Bryant customer now, thank you very much. If I only knew then what I know now. Oh boy, brings tears to my eyes.

Not only am I over 40, (42 this year) I'm also male, starting LPN in Sept (unless I chicken out).
Good luck
Tony
The young girls in my class amazed me. I sure didn't have the maturity back then and in fact I quit college the first time because I was making so much money cocktail waitressing! What a dope I was but I did have plenty of fun, lol. I did excellent in school this time around because I had nothing on my agenda except studying each night.

I'm not quite 40 but I am peeking in the window :chuckle
I just graduated LPN school in June at the age of 39. I wasn't the oldest in the class. There were 3 older than me. One by a a couple of months, 2 were about 2 yrs older and one was 4 yrs older.
When graduation rolled around I was the 2nd oldest in class. LOL
I was terrified to start school again. It had been years since I was last in school. But one it started I fit right in and did well.
You can do this. Age is mearly a number.
Yes it was the scariest thing I had to do. Learning to study all over again after almost 30 yrs was not fun. LOL Thanks for you vote of confidence.
