Hi everyone!!! I just graduated with my BSN today and am a graduate nurse! I'm planning on taking NCLEX-RN in late June and am nervous! I bought so many review books with CD-ROMs so I can practice answering questions...I've been already practicing for a couple months now. How are the rest of you new grads doing it? :)

Good luck. Don't get hung up over the number of questions. Mark my word in a few months there will be numerous posts saying "I got 75 questions and think I failed....I got 265 questions and I know I failed.....Anyone pass with 112 questoins? I think I failed............".
It's a dreadful test that 99% of takers are convinced they failed. Keep on keeping on and best wishes to you.

Hi christvs,
I'm studying for the NCLEX too. I'm a nervous test taker. I'm right now using the mosby's review question book and I'm taking the kaplan in a couple of weeks. I guess its a good rule of thumb to do at least 100 questions if you can.

I scheduled my test for July 7th today, and I got sick at my stomach just setting it up! I am using saunders book and CD. I also have NCLEX 3000 on a disk. I took ERI's review through our school.

I am sick over it. I am still watiing for my paperwork from school so that I can send away for my temporary permit and schedule boards. I just can't get into studying yet. Everyday I tell myself tomorrow I am going to get up and do 100 questions. I graduated two weeks ago and haven't done it yet. I really need to get my but in gear. So far the only thing I have done is read my Kaplan book. I am still in shock and awe mode over graduation and everything. I need to get motivated.

i can totally relate to the shock, awe, and need for motivation. it's been 2 weeks since i've graduated and yesterday i finally got up the nerve to start studying for the nclex. i also scheduled a date to take the exam next month. i figured i needed to set a date so i'd have a goal to work toward. i'm doing star nurse exam-a-day gold by http://www.medspub.com. my school paid for it. there's 41 exams total. most are 100 questions each. there are 20 integrated exams and the rest are content exams in med/surg, peds, ob, psych, dosage & calculations, pharmacology, disaster planning, etc. i'm going to do at least one exam a day until my test date. i hope this helps. everyone pray for me and wish me luck. i'll be doing the same for everyone else. good luck everyone! study hard!!! :)

I hear ya! I just finished doing 180 questions on my Kaplan CD. I did my share today. My school wouldn't do anything for us until we graduated. That was two weeks ago and I am still unable to schedule because they won't get their but in gear. I did get my NCLEX predictor in the mail today. It was a test administered to us by ATI that is suppose to be 98% accurate. According to the test I have a 96% chance of passing NCLEX the first time. I just don't believe it though, because I feel that there is no way no how to "copy" and predict the NCLEX. I just got in the study/motivated mode today and I hope I can keep it up. All the GN's on the boards are in my prayers!!!!

I'm feeling very, very, very overwhelmed mainly because I just don't know where to begin. My test date is June 29th.
I am doing Hurst online (she's a hoot!!), I registered at learningtext.com because one of my instructors said that these are the people who help write the NCLEX, and I've got a Saunders book/CD. Basically I don't know how to formulate a plan for myself because it feels so different from school. Now rather than knowing one section at a time you've got to know... EVERYTHING!!!

since you're using hurst, this might help: try taking each section on her table of contents and study system by system. After you finish reviewing your hurst notes go for a section, go and do a practice test from your saunders cd on that content. HOpe helps.
