I guess I was the only one who hated it. I was a float and went everywhere. But, I have great references from there so that is a plus.
What did you not like? What dept did you work in?
I was a float, ER, Med/Surg, Tele, and ICU. Most occasions I didn't have the same floor or Assignment; so it was tough. I usually do float assignments for the most part. Thankfully, I have done agency work, and some Per Diem in LTACHs or I don't know if I would of made it, lol. I seen other Travelers getting fired for "coughing" not clinical errors; so you had to watch your back. I guess NY has no patient to nurse ratio because I had more than I was use to being I started my career in MA. I had worked at another NY hospital in Critical Care and things happen but gee wiz.
Honestly, it depends on your background and what you are doing when you get there.
I would do a search in the forum for the rest as it has been discussed before. Not everyone was bad as I made some great contacts especially with the old school nurses they always know their stuff but I was glad my assignment was over and did not extend.

I worked there through Fastaff back in 2010 in LD. I liked it and hope to go again now that I'm back on the travel circuit! They housed me in Yonkers at a really nice apt on the Hudson River.

Yes, they still offered me the same housing location, plus a commuting stipend. The only issue was getting a confirmation for the assignment from the Fastaff recruiter after she sent me to do all bloodwork and took a marathon of online tests...she claimed that Montefiore never got back to her. If that was true, it was utterly unprofessional. Or it might have been the recruiter herself...I went somewhere else with a different company!

Has anyone taken the critical care test at Montefiore? Any suggestions?? I heard it was extremely hard...
Are you going on Oct. 15? If so, has your recruiter sent you any study guides for the test?
