I put on 20 lbs as a freshman and sophmore and I took 25 pounds off this year. Mostly due to working two jobs and not having enough time to eat bad food. I'm working hard to keep it off though. I was never overweight just had a little extra badonkadonk though I wonder how much weight I'll put on when I actually become an RN.
im down, i have no clue how. i dont let myself snack but i do drink lots of energy drinks and starbucks. i had to buy new, smaller, scrubs too! (sorry, kinda excited)

How fun!!! Congratulations!
lol.... you are tooo funny.... i think that most of the people in our class gained at least 20 ... there are the select few who are not stress eaters and they still look fab. I am not one of them :-)
I walk on a treadmill with a book holder on it, so I study and exercise! Isn't that what we learn as NS; multi-tasking?
I've tried that too, but I always wound up people watching!
I am gaining OMG, so I started working out today.
I am a rarity.I was told to PUT ON weight when I started my nursing program!!
Go figure that I was young and healthy.
This was the orders of the Doc during my first physical!!
I started out in June at 324, and am down to 264, and I have 64 more to go! By July 08 I will be at my desired weight and body build. That way when NS starts I can have the weight of and have ways of eating healthy and do exercise so that I do not become a mess during and after school. By that time I will just be maintaining, since doing what I do now wont be possible at this time next year!
WOW! BRAVO! CONGRATULATIONS!!!:balloons:
I am but I think it's a mix of I'm studying SO much(uses calories mentally) and I forget to eat. I have ADHD and I normally have to set reminders to eat and I just get so busy that I forget to set the reminders. The people who know this has been going on tell me all the time how lucky I am but it's just as big of an issue, if not possibly worse than eating too much. I'm constantly sleepy from not eating enough and I am losing muscle mass(which obviously as a nurse you NEED). Also, all of my clothes, including my uniforms are so big that it feels like I'm swimming in them. I've bought a second set and potentially need to buy a third, but I can't keep dishing out money on new clothes every 2-3 months. I've lost 11 pounds so far. At least if you're gaining weight, you can maintain focus a little better. After the stress of school is done, it may come right off. But the grass is always greener!
