Hi!
Did anyone else interview for St Jo's new grad mother/ baby position? I know the posting was only up for 4 days but I'm sure hundreds of people applied. Anyone get to the phone interview or 1 on 1? They probably can't be interviewing more than 15 people in person right? I feel like my interview was a poor reflection of my personality and nursing skills! I feel like I could have done much better and was extremely nervous! It is my dream to work at St. Jo's and this was my last chance to apply to a new grad position because I have been out of school for 6 months now as well as already applied to their last new grad position and was able to get through the entire interview process, however, I was not offered the job ! I'm hoping this time I get better news! Good luck ladies!

Hi, I interviewed for this position and I know that another candidate interviewed the same day as me. So maybe more than 15? Who knows? Keep your head up. Remember if they don't know you personally, then don't take it personal. But nonetheless, best of luck to you.
So random but I was at an urgent care today and the girl sitting next to me also interviewed for the position and still hasn't heard back yet either
Hopefully we hear back soon. just wondering, are you from the area?
Ya I live in close by in Orange County and so does the girl I met in urgent care! How about you? When did you interview? Its been almost 3 weeks I interviewed the monday before christmas.
Oh ok! Nope, I'm from San francisco! I interviewed a few days ago. Like, 3 or 4 days ago.
When did they originally phone for an interview? The pay at st jo in san fran/sac/san jose is almost $50/hr and its only $33/hr here

That's not really new news. Rent is commonly almost double.
Mmmmm I dknt remember but the phone interview was a long time ago. I think maybe beginning of December. And yea, pay is better here but it's so competitive and almost impossible to get a job without experience up here. Plus, the cost of living is so much more when it comes down to it, it's not a difference . If we make it past the 1:1 interview, is there a panel interview?
No that was the last phase (in person) but they didn't interview a lot of people! I know! I'm from the bay area too and applied all over there. I know they hire in stockton because two of my cousins are l&d/mother baby nurses there. I know that san bernadino area will hire new grads in women's health they told me they are putting up postings every wednesday. Ya mine was the beg of december as well! I asked when the next stage of the interview is and she told me that was it and to be patient because of the holidays. It's extremely difficult to get a job here too... even with every certification for mother baby/labor and delivery for every job there are several hundred applicants . Anyways lol good luck and I'm so happy I was able to talk to two of the applicants! :))
Do you know how many positions are open?
