Hey all. I was just wondering if anyone has ever done the PVT and gotten the good popup to later find out they failed? Or ever read of this happening to someone? Thanks!!

I have been victim of a cc page for numerous time.PVT is 100% accurate.

Good pop up=pass CC page=fail

I think the only time PVT is wrong is when you have taken the exam the maximum number of times your BON allows before they make you take a refresher course.

Yes, those that have posted the "contact your board of nursing" and then later received a fail letter generally are in a state that limits the number of times you can take the NCLEX and fail before requiring remediation/education/refresher course (most common number is 3rd failure requires remediation) Since Pearson Vue is aware of this, rather than permit the student to reregister, the directive to contact the board of nursing pops up.

Other than the above scenario, PVT appears to be a fairly accurate unofficial way to check NCLEX results. Of course, only official results come from your board of nursing. Even the quick results are considered "unofficial"

That's interesting. I didn't know that NCLEX testing has a limit. I only ask because I took my exam for the first time on Tuesday and it was the worst test of my life. I cried all the way home sure I had failed. 130 questions with only 15 sata and a few alternate formats. I assumed I had failed due to the limited sata questions which are usually assumed to be higher level questions. Got home and checked the PVT and got the popup which led to more crying. I'm Just so worried that I will be the one person the PVT isn't accurate for.

That shouldn't happen for a first try, as the only time I've read that happening was on third attempt. In my humble opinion, don't worry so much you are over thinking. Not all SATA and alternate questions are difficult. Not all multiple choice are lower difficulty. The combo and number of questions do not directly correlate to pass/fail; it's your chosen answers that determines the outcome. . I stopped at 85 for my NCLEX-PN and walked out having no idea how I did.

Good pop up = Pass :)

I just got the popup on Monday after my exam and passed. It works :)

So did you pass??? :)

Got good pop up and passed. PVT is 100% accurate
