I know they said they the next step (interview) won't be till November, but I was wondering, has anyone gotten any response from them so far? Any email besides the acknowledgment after sending your application?
Also, for those who have recently gone through the process, what are your tips to GET THE JOB? .. or what were some of the questions asked during the interview?
any info will help. THANKS IN ADVANCE!
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!
Can anyone share what the interview was like and what kind of questions they asked? I am scheduled for an interview tomorrow with a panel of at least 4 people and am very nervous. I sure would appreciate any info! Thanks!
I interviewed on Friday, and evidently my interview was much different than that of my friend who interviewed for an SICU position.
I was only asked 3 questions:
Where do I see myself in 5 years?
Why did I choose this particular unit?
Why should we hire you?
No scenarios, no strengths/weaknesses, etc. But that may come later, if I move on to the peer interviews. Which we should find out this week.
My friend who interviewed in the SICU was given several scenarios, and the regular strength/weaknesses, why did you choose to be a nurse, where do you see yourself in 5 years, type questions.
Hope that helps. So basically be prepared for anything. It all depends on the unit you interview for. Good luck! Just relax and smile, answer from the heart. They've heard all the same answers before, so try to just be honest.
Oh, great news for me! Still have a small glimmer of hope in getting one of five spots against twenty-seven other people for the other residency program.
I also interviewed last week for the residency program and am also waiting for a call...I'm going crazy, but I'm trying to stay hopeful!!! I feel confident about my interview, but I'm sure we all interviewed to our best ability...which makes it even more competitive! But, I hope there's room for the two of us !! If i'm correct, the lady that interviewed me said that over 1100 people applied for the 27 spots that are open for all 5 hospitals combined. To everyone still waiting for an interview, I hope you get a call soon!!!
I was not very confident with my interview. All the answers came out very condensed in my head. Not to mention I think I was cut off on a couple of answers because they thought I was done. Then they certainly rushed me out of the room. That did not make me feel any better.
And do you know what was going on with the scenario about the chole?
