The Healthcare Training Academy's School Nurse Emergency Care Course...

https://www.healthcaretrainingacademy.org/amember/signup/snecc

Looked interesting, but sometimes looks can be deceiving - anybody able to give a review?

Specializes in ICU/community health/school nursing.

It DOES look interesting....but looks like it would be for newer school nurses. I think you could speak effectively to (if not teach) many of these topics.

Specializes in pediatrics, School LVN.

I don't know anything about this course, but it definitely is something I would be interested in. This is only my 3rd full year, my first year was a partial year. I have learned a lot, but I feel I could learned so much more. I am interested to see what others have to say about it as well. Thanks for posting the link.

YES! I did SNECC the Summer between my 2nd & 3rd year of school nursing. Mine went through Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago and it was in-person so half of the appeal was getting together with 30 other school nurses to bounce ideas off of each other.  I learned a ton.  I annoyed my coworkers by talking about the class for months after.

Thanks- I'll check it out!

Aw, shucks. ?

I also appreciate good review classes as well. The price is reasonable and it looks perfect for NSNC contact hours...

I'm intrigued. I may know much of this, but with less students in person this year and pretty feeling like I am all-COVID-all-the-time right now, I'm not against a good review.

$75 isn't bad, either. And contact hours are good. Plus I have two LPNs on staff that could find this course useful and I think I have the budget for all of us to do it. Thanks for passing along!

Seriously- it's "eat, drink and breathe (not literally, I hope)" COVID-19. I field emails during the weekend just so I'm not swamped on Monday mornings. Actually, sometimes after hours during the week as well for the same reason...

This is my first year as a school nurse. This looks like great information. I think I’m going to sign up.
