Number of questions does not equate to passing or failing. You can pass at 85 or fail at 85 and pass at 205? Or fail at the same one. Relax. ?

The test-taker who fails after having answered 85 questions fell far below the NCLEX computerized adaptive technology's passing standard rather quickly and remained there, so the computer was able to make the determination that the candidate had no chance to ever rise to the passing standard.
On the other hand, the test-taker who fails after having answered the entire 205 questions remained near the passing standard during the entire test, but was never quite able to rise above the passing standard.
Does PVT still works until now? I feel so dumb if I failed with only 85 questions:(

Well I think you have to wait because I had all 205 questions with only 20 minutes left. I was put on hold for 24 hours because my palm print didn't read when I finished my test, but then the next day it took me to the cc page...and I failed the test. I was worried because they said the last 60 questions is what they go by but I couldn't remember one question. When I got the cpr..my results were near passing in all areas but one below and one above passing...GOOD LUCK
Thank you. I actually remember most of the questions, because it took me like 2min each questions and my head hurts. I kept on asking some of my friends and told me I got some correct answers. But I wonder if I failed at 85 questions why didn't they give me a chance and add more questions: ( I felt so dumb, can't wait for 5weeks.
Well I guess we all feel like that when we fail. But you have time to regroup and try again. I haven't retaken it again still reviewing. It does get better and you can pass this test. Most of my friends pass on the first try..which I had better grades then them but I failed after studying for 2 months and answering all 205 questons.

PVT worked for me! I took my NCLEX earlier this Aug 2014 :) the first time I took it, took me to the cc page and found out I failed. The second time, got the good pop and found out I passed last week! Read my post on nclex advice! I hope it helps! :)

How does it feel to be obsolete already?
At the time you took your second test, the PVT was still reasonably accurate. As of 8/23, however, an update to their system shows that the PVT has ZERO accuracy in predicting pass or fail.
It does NOT have any reliability at this point.
But glad you passed!
Wow! I'm sorry to hear that! Thank you and good luck!
