Hi,
I wanted to know if anyone here has just purchased the Kaplan QBank questions only? (Without the course and all that classroom)
If so, thoughts? Worth it? or NO? Thanks!

This is mainly all that I've done. Taking my exam on July 16, so I'll come back to let you know if it worked for me or not. Lol

Kaplan questions were definitely very similar to the NCLEX style questions. I did thousands of practice questions to prepare and I believe they helped the most when it came time to write. I supplemented the questions with review books (I found some pdfs online of books, such as HESI). I was scoring around 60-75% on the Kaplan quizzes and I passed in 75 questions.

If you get Qbank, will it allow you to see the rationales when you're done? If so, then I feel it would be worth. The questions were very similar to NCLEX. The last few weeks before my exam, I was doing 75 Qbank questions per day, plus remediation on each question. Doing so made my scores go up each time I did another set of questions. They say if you're scoring 60% or above on your Qbanks then you have a high chance of passing NCLEX.
I just took my NCLEX exam today and it stopped at 77 questions. So, well see on Thursday if I passed or not :)

I was looking into NCLEX Qbanks because I take my nclex in a few months and found a few others besides Kaplan that you may be interested in:

I just took my exam yesterday and passed doing only Kaplan questions with remediation. I studied for about 2 weeks (6-8h per day). I did not look at any review book or content. I did about 80% of the Qbank (with a average score of 65%) and the question trainers 1-6 (average of 60%). However, it did take me a little longer than I hoped to take the NCLEX (105 questions). The most important thing with Kaplan is to remediate.
Looking back, I probably should have reviewed content from Hurst, Kaplan or Saunders BUT it is possible to pass doing ONLY the Qbank and the trainers.

That is all I did to study for NCLEX (along with Lacharity's Priority and Delegation book). I had friends who bought the whole Kaplan class and said they wished they just bought the Qbank because that is all they used anyways. I paid $99 for 3 months worth of questions. You learn a lot by just reading the rationales to each question.

I used the kaplan qbank for one month and thought it helped so much, it does have practice test too that you take along with all of the rationales for the questions, It prepared me enough for the exam I felt and I ended up passing with 75. Wish you luck! I recommend it, well worth 49$, I was not about to pay 400$ for a class when I just went through two years of school! lol

I know a few people who only did Qbank and passed on the first try. But, it depends on the individual. If you feel that you have a pretty good grasp on the material (med-surg, pharm, etc), then just do the Qbank to help you get familiar with the NCLEX-style questions. Good luck! :)
