Is there anyone else out there who is currently studying for the CCRN exam and would like to start a thread as perhaps a study and support group? I have just applied for the exam and have not yet set a date, but about in 3 months is when I will be taking it. I would love to be in communication with others in the same boat! I hope there is at least one other nurse out there! Thanks!

Congrats Kolt (he passed on Wednesday),
You beat me....I passed, too, but just got 99 correct out of 125---I agree: it was hard! Kept thinking, "Hhmmm, this question doesn't seem to have a correct answer listed, so it must be one of the "future-test" questions that don't count"....until I found myself thinking this for more than 25 questions!! Hard test....By the way, Kolt, you sound pretty amazing---just out of college one year, working in CTICU w/Swans, already have your CCRN, just 23,....I think you'll be the DON at some major hospital someday...Hats off to you! and thanks everyone for your support!
nyforlove, thank you...
I graduated in May '07 with my bachelors.
Had a bad job experience first off ... was there 2 months.
Been in the CVICU for 1 year with great mentors and support.
I am heart training in 2-4 weeks ... I'll take 15 fresh hearts, then I'll be certified.
I am now studying for the GRE .. I hate vocabulary so it will be a challenge and a half.
Looking to apply to CRNA in September ... time will tell.
Thanks for the encouragement.
guys, how lucky you are...i really want to grab CCRN certification but unfortunately here in my country (indonesia) there is no institution running this certification.
should i follow this program abroad, there would be another problem for going there. is it still possible?
Hi bloomingdawn! I would highly recommend that you email the AACN at www.aacn.org (this is the website and contact information can be found there). I can't imagine that if you fulfill the requirements for eligibility that they wouldn't allow you to take the exam. I don't recall that there are any requirements based on nationality. However, you may need to plan a trip to the US to take it!!! But, please email the AACN, the staff there is very helpful and friendly and would be happy to work with you to find a way for you to the exam. Good luck!! Let us know what you find out!!
