Is there anyone else out there who is currently studying for the CCRN exam and would like to start a thread as perhaps a study and support group? I have just applied for the exam and have not yet set a date, but about in 3 months is when I will be taking it. I would love to be in communication with others in the same boat! I hope there is at least one other nurse out there! Thanks!

Hello everyone
Just want to wish all those new CCRN congradulations on Passing :w00t:
U guys have the guts to just Go for it. I on the other hand, still have my worries if I know enough to pass it.
My bestfriend who I've studied with for about 1yr just passed it on Friday. I'm happy for her. With that I've gotten the courge to fill out the application & write the check & place in an envelop. Now it's just a matter of me mailing it. :uhoh21:
I hate this feelings but I think I'll wait a bit more & study of it.

Hey Bronx,
Thanks so much for posting. I know the CCRN seems like an overwhelming feat, but I promise, that you as a successful ICU nurse, could pass it without ANY problem given that you study the right material. On one hand, there seems to be an infinite amount of information that one has to absorb... and that is true for ALL of is in this field; there will always be more to learn. However, the test is really not THAT hard. You have to see yourself equal to the challenge, because there is NO DOUBT in my mind that you certainly are. How do I know?? Because you are an ICU nurse, you made it through nursing school and passed the NCLEX!! Obviously you have a good head on your shoulders. ;)
Hey what up,
I'll be honest I haven't send it. I just had a brithday & I want a break from CCRN brain fry. The army just really wants ICU nurses certified they are even giving us money for it. Like I need any more stress. I need to breathe.
I'll let all the buddies know when I've done it. It will be after the holidays.
Thanks DeeDawntee
Hi Bronx,Did you send off that check for the CCRN??? Just wondering?
Also, how is everyone else doing with studying?
How are all of my old CCRN buddies doing with the upcoming holidays??
Hey, please check in....I miss you!!!

You will know when you are ready, it is not worth it if it becomes a stressful unpleasant task you have to survive. I think it should be a fun, confidence-building process...I believe that is really what the underlying intention is for the CCRN. Thanks for the reply. Happy Birthday and have a great holiday season!!
:biggringi Happy Birthday Bronx!!! :balloons::balloons::balloons:
check-in everybody....what's up?
funny, i was just thinking of you yesterday! i am looking forward to going back to work the first week of feb. and getting some fat paychecks.
still rehabing lue, shoulder, scapula after my disastrous fall on 9/1/07 in which i herniated c4 - c7!
happy holidays, and be careful out there!
Ugh.Looks like I've got some work to do...
I got a 60%. :uhoh21::uhoh21:
Well, I took the test cold. I can do better.
60 %!!! That's great!!! You only have 10% to go to pass!! Wow!! I am impressed!!
Obviously you know your stuff, now it is just a matter of getting used to the questions and understanding the rationales behind their approach. I know that getting your CCRN isn't just about the letters behind your name, it is the whole process....so I can understand that you would want to take your time and take it in the summer, but you are soooo close, that you could take it much sooner if you really wanted to. You rock my friend!!
Thanks for checking in!! :lol2:
Just an FYI that in February (19 & 20) the Atlanta AACN is sponsoring a review course for anyone interested in getting their certification. The speaker for the CCRN is Barbara Pope who I actually went to her review at the Trends conference in Philadelphia last year. She is AMAZING...I went to her review, studied alittle over the weekend and passed the exam that monday.
I think they will be posting registration forms this week on their website @:
atlantaaacn.org
Best of luck to you!
