I just wondered if anyone else is finding it difficult to navigate around the course material?
The instructions state read the basics book and then watch the online corresponding video, I can't find them?
Have been pretty unimpressed with the student support as emailed them to ask and have had no response at all.
Also in the RN course book it instructs you to do the same, read a topic and then watch a corresponding video, it details a code in brackets i.e RN 2130 etc. again I cannot seem to understand this, Have searchd for it within "My Kaplan" and it just returns to your homepage.
Finding it a bit frustrating and fragmented at the moment, just wondered if anyone else had experienced the same problems?

If you go online, I have a tab at the top (once I enter my sullabus) that says, "My Toolbox". Within there, click on LOD - Content. I have watched nearly ever one of these videos, and it follows along with the book almost perfectly. I watch the videos (takes a looooong time), then I test like 20-50 questions on ONLY that topic to make sure I have an understanding. Then, I create a test with all of the topics I have reviewed. I went from getting 40-50% scores to now getting 65-70% on my practice tests. I understand WAY more than I did before.
I hope that helps. I registered for the online course, so I hope its the same. LOD - Class Questions are the questions that were covered in class.

Hi Dane
Thank you for taking the time to try and help me, I really appreciate it :)
Out of interest are you studying in the US? Your home page sounds a bit better organised than mine as I don't have any of the tabs that you metion and unfortunately none of the presentation videos are titled so it is very difficult to find the corresponding video with the book
I spoke to a really helpful guy at the Kaplan London branch today who has emailed the US Kaplan on my behalf to try and get some support but still waiting to hear.
Do you have the book called the RN course book? In this it directs you to watch certains presentations which have a code assigned to them, for instance it instructs you to watch the video on the Decision Tree then it brackets it says (RN2130) can't quite work out what this code is or find the video
Thanks again though, shame it is so difficult to navigate around as otherwise I would consider it a really valuable tool.
Oh, yeah, I'm in the US. Yours sounds pretty different from mine. I'll post a screenshot just to confirm that they are different.
This is what I see right now. The back one is the lesson I'm currently watching and the front is the menu I have.
that's clever, how did you do that! and thank you for been so helpful!
Yes I see what you mean now, yes I do have that under the videos but they don't seem to correspond with what the book is saying
I think the US one is probably a bit better than this one, but never mind, I will persevere!
Thanks again for taking the time to help me, I really appreicate it
No problem at all. I haven't been using the book much, the videos are far more helpful to me. Good luck!
I agree, the videos do help you to retain information.
Thankyou and good luck to you too!

@danegerous: hey, just wanted to ask which Kaplan center are you reviewing at? because I'm planning to enroll at their makati review center, and it seems to have numerous negative comments. really having second thoughts about enrolling now.. Any feedbacks from you? Thanks alot in advance! may we pass the NCLEX exam!
I was enrolled at their Downers Grove, IL location, but I changed it. I found their online (look at it here) program and it seemed like the best fit for me. First, it was online, so I didn't have to drive 45-90 minutes every day to get there. Second, it was only 4 days long as opposed to the 5 day in-class courses. Lastly, it was at the end of December rather than the middle of January, so I could finish and take my NCLEX sooner. I actually was able to schedule my exam for a day that was in the middle of when I would be taking the on-site program.
I would consider this as an option. They have a guarantee that if you don't feel ready to take the test after completing the program once, they will allow you to take it again for free at one of their locations.
Hope that helps.
