Anyone else still waiting on Acceptance/Rejections to FNP?

Published

Sigh...I feel like I've been waiting forever on word, even though it's really not been all that LONG...I'm on wait week 4.5 for University of Cincinnati, and week number 3 for Simmons College. Both are for FNP programs...I was denied from Georgetown after 2.5 wks of waiting...sigh...so who else is waiting, no matter what school you applied to?

Tasha

My guy was on top of stuff each time i emailed/called. they go in the order apps are received which is why i think it weird you have been waiting sooooo long, unless when you submitted not everything was recevied (recommendations, transcripts etc) at that point...your "wait" time doesn't start until everything is fully received from the school and your packet is QA'd then sent to faculty for review. it goes through two review processes so maybe ask him if the first reviewer has seen it yet? it was about a week after that that i got my acceptance email!

Yea. I submitted everything Nov. 4th, and November 8th or 9th I received an email saying my application is complete is under review. So i emailed a few weeks ago (before thanksgiving) and he said it had been seen by the first reviewer and was being sent to the 2nd reviewer. So i'm going crazy over here.. like.. whats going on Simmons, haha. Id love to know before Christmas (well, if its good news anyways).

Tasha, how have you been? Congrats on finishing your BSN

DSRN85...I think you got in. Advisors never try to indicate that you got in until the college officially says so. I bet 100% you got in. It was the same with my GU application. My advisor called me about three days after I had submitted my application and accidentally congratulated me for my admission and wanted to discuss financial aid. I think after them handling thousands of applications, they can kind of tell who will and wont't get in. I also got emails to enroll in their emergency system alert and to join a webiner session. All this was days before I got an email that I had been accepted. They pretend they don't know what faculty is up to...but am sure they are in the loop. What cohort did you apply for?

Thats what I was sort of thinking myself.. but didnt want to get carried away with the idea, haha. The email said ""The Simmons Student Financial Services team would like to welcome you to Nursing@Simmons! As someone who will be taking the Biology Fundamentals for Health Care Professionals bridge course, you may have questions about the financing options available to you during your first term."" So i'd love to know soon! This means I have to take a bio over?? which makes me concerned. I don't understand that.. so thats why I am thinking it really was a mistake. Anyways, Ill sit here and just try to be patient...again.

I'd be blowing up --- email LOL hahahahaha....if for some reason that financial aid letter IS correct it would mean your science courses are older than 5 yrs...I believe if you have not had ANY current sciences they are making people take the biology nursing bridge =) Mine were recent enough, so was my Stats class, however, I only got a C in stats so i have to do the refresher...yuck-o! =)

Ohh okay! My bio was taking in 2005 or 2006 so I guess that may explain it.. If the letter was suppose to be sent to me. I should email the guy back and say I'm sorry I have no idea what you're talking about as I don't even know if I'm accepted;) I attended the financial webinar today and --- messaged me in a chat but I didn't realize it til the end. He just said hi. I guess for his glad he should be happy I didn't realize it cause I would have gotten carried away with my application questions!! :)

I emailed ---- today (paid my enrollment fee finally!) and he responded right away, said he will be off work from Dec 24- Dec 30th so you may want to try to get into contact with him by Monday to ask about your application! He did say there will be advisers available (other than christmas eve/day and new years eve/day) to take calls and can look your info up...but you know i like to bother him to death! LOL

I have submitted my applications on December 19 and the application deadlines are February 15... I have absolutely no idea when I will found out the answers. I just check each one once a day around 6 p.m. I'm hoping it will be soon, the wait is worse than anything! Hope everyone is doing well. :)

The wait it SO hard. Especially since Simmons said we will hear back within 4-6 weeks.. And I am going on to week 11. AHHH! I just want to know already. And I had my application in very early!! First week in November.. and people who passed theirs in later have already found out for the March Cohert. I want to know whats going on with my app.

I've applied to 10 programs. I started way back in the Summer and most of mine have deadlines of Feb-March. I've not heard back from a single place...but I don't think any of them do rolling admissions. Long wait....*sigh*

Wow, where all did you apply? I've wondered about applying to a lot more places next year since I only applied to two this year. (This is of course a plan C or D since I am hoping I get in sooner rather than later.) Did you use the people all the recommendation letters?
