Anyone else still waiting on Acceptance/Rejections to FNP?

Sigh...I feel like I've been waiting forever on word, even though it's really not been all that LONG...I'm on wait week 4.5 for University of Cincinnati, and week number 3 for Simmons College. Both are for FNP programs...I was denied from Georgetown after 2.5 wks of waiting...sigh...so who else is waiting, no matter what school you applied to?

How long from the time you applied until you heard back? Both schools told me 4-6 weeks but I am wondering what the actual timeline has been. It's driving me crazy not knowing! I am one week so far for Georgetown and two from Simmons. I am not sure what I will do if I get into both, I haven't allowed myself to be that positive. I am just hoping for one acceptance, they both seem to be great programs. Congrats to both of you on your acceptance!

I had to be proactive in getting my applications in. I have three small children and am getting married in June so I have a lot of planning to do for once I, hopefully, start :)

For Georgetown I got a denial email on a Friday evening about 2.5wks after I applied. For Simmons I applied on Oct 20, they had all my stuff on Oct 29th and I got an acceptamce phone call on Nov 28th.

With Georgetown, It was exaclty 2 weeks from the time my application was sent for review. I submitted my application 10/30, they received my last rec letter 11/1, they sent file for review 11/5. I found out about the acceptance 11/20.

Blueeyedmommy...as of now, my application is under review at Simmons but since Georgetown was my first preference, I went ahead and registered for classes today. This dream is coming a reality for me and am so humbled.

Thanks Tasha for always being so resourceful. I would not have known about Simmons were it not for you.

Just received an acceptance email from Simmons at 9pm! I am so excited :) I am unsure what I will do if accepted to both, but cost is a factor. I still can't believe it!

Congratulations blueyedmommy. I also received an acceptance email from Simmons. I have already made up my mind to go to Georgetown. There is a time I was wondering what I would do if I got accepted to both....not anymore. Am sure you will have a good experience at Simmons if you decide to go there. I find their webpage very informative. It's only a matter of time before Simmons gets a national recognition. They were so wonderful during the application process. They even waived the application fee. Since you have so much time before you start, you can secure both places with the enrollment fee and take your time to decide.

Congrats! Very happy for your! What cohort did you apply to? I wish you the best in deciding what school you want! =) I still am waiting on UC to give me an answer, but I have my heart set on Simmons with how wonderfully I was treated, and the communication being so good! =) I wish you the best! =)

I paid my deposit with Simmons today. The program is so similar to Georgetown's and I received the best treatment from both. I have decided I will go with Simmons even if Georgetown offers me a spot I think. I have some doubts about the program being a little newer and the lack of experience with clinical placements. A part of me wants the big name of Georgetown but I don't know I would be able to not work and still pay for the cost. My fiancee' is a CRNA so we already have big student loans to pay off, not sure if adding more than necessary would be worth it at this point.

I applied and was accepted to the full-time September 2014 FNP program. I'll be excited to hear of your experiences in the program as I will be following behind you. I'm pretty sure I'm going to order some Simmon's gear today :)

Congrats!! I am (im)patiently waiting to hear back from Simmons myself for the March cohert! Do you mind me asking about your nursing experience? I feel like thats going to be a deciding factor with me cause unfortunately I have only worked long term care.

I have been working in the ICU environment for 18 months. I also volunteer at the free medical clinic as an RN but really the ICU experience is all I have. I really think they look at the entire picture rather than just one or two areas. Good luck! They told me it would be 4-6 weeks, my application was sent to faculty review on a Friday and I found out 10 days later. It was a hard wait! I am still waiting to hear from Georgetown and it was two weeks yesterday.

I seriously think I emailed my enrollment rep like 2 times per week during the process, maybe it's sitting on someones desk??? Not to mention last week was a 1/2 week with Thanksgiving so that can't really count can it? LOL =)
