Anyone else still waiting on Acceptance/Rejections to FNP?

Published

Sigh...I feel like I've been waiting forever on word, even though it's really not been all that LONG...I'm on wait week 4.5 for University of Cincinnati, and week number 3 for Simmons College. Both are for FNP programs...I was denied from Georgetown after 2.5 wks of waiting...sigh...so who else is waiting, no matter what school you applied to?

So Friday came and went. Am still waiting on GU.

I got the call this AM, I was ACCEPTED to Simmons Nursing graduate program for FNP! I start March 2014!!! =)

Tasha,

Let me be the first to congratulate you. I am very very happy for you. You've worked so hard for this. I hope we will continue to keep in touch.

I just checked myaccessGU and there is some progress in there. It tells me to enroll in HOY alert emergency notification but it's not accepting my log in ID. I don't know how to interpret this. They've also added on there a place to update personal information. Did you see any of that during your wait?

Congrats again.

When I went to My Access the HOY alers was there, a link that said "Pay your fees or something like that, then at the top where there is a tab that says "Summary" I clicked on that and it showed where I applied, about halfway down was a line that says "Decision" and next to it said "call admissions office"...

Thanks for the congrats I"m super thrilled today!

Congrats, Tasha!

Thanks Tasha,

I guess it's progress that will go either way. I was hoping I could be able to apply to Simmons before the priority deadline passes today.

Simmons will work out well for you because of the GI bill. Will it cover your entire tuition since it's cheaper?

Yes the GI bill should cover everything now =) You have until Nov 28th I think for the final deadline, and don't forget if you are denied GU, just call the admissions office at Simmons and ask them to pull your application from GU. =)

Tasha

I would have preferred to apply to Simmons even before GU gets back to me, but I have no way of obtaining hand signed recommendation letters because my recommenders are far away. So I have to rely on the ones that GU has that Simmons said they can pull.

Simmons sends the recommenders an email, then the recommenders will submit via fax back to simmons...so you shouldn't have to be the one to do it =) I'd call your GU adviser and see if there is a decision yet.
