Anyone else have the jitters?

I get like this every semester...second guessing myself. I want to become a nurse more every day (I currently work in a Wound Care Clinic and I can't wait to get that "RN" so I can REALLY work in wound care!) but I am psyching myself out with the prereqs! I'm taking one class at a time because I have to work full time (my boss is awesome and gives me time off during the day to go to class) and the light at the end of the tunnel seems so far away sometimes. Sigh...Classes start Wednesday and I can't wait/am sick to my stomach!

oh yes your not alone I am sure many will agree with you! I get the jitters before each class, you also feel the pressure of having to go above and beyond doing well to get into school. I was just talking about this the other day with my friends, we know its what we want have worked so hard to get here but oh how scary!

goodluck with your new semester, I finished my pre reqs last spring, just waiting for my letter now, gives me lots of time to psych myself out LOL.

Absolutely! You're not alone!

yes, yes, yes! I feel sick about it too. My first test in A&P is on the 17th, my son's first Birthday part is on the 15th, so I'm a little freaked out and nervous. I hope once the first test is over, I will have a better feel for how they work and what to expect in the future. I took pre-reqs a few years ago and don't remember being this nervous. I think it was because getting into RN School was not as competitive then. Now you have to have all As. Getting a B, from what I'm hearing, won't cut it. That makes me incredibly nervous. Yikes!

Of course we all get nervous

I have to definitely agree about getting nervous...ugh! I haven't been back in college for almost 9 years.....this semester is my first time back. The first day of class i was so nervous about being an older student....but it worked to my benefit. I was able to pair up with older students and older students definitely stay in class and work hard.

I'm currently taking chem and bio then this summer a&p1. Very nervous about the summer class.

Good luck to you all!

I been out of school since 1998 I just started back Jan 2008

Are you guys working together as a group ?

Ahhhh yes!:bluecry1: I had the jitters when i started me prereqs 2 years ago, and now i have the jitters that i am done with them and waiting to get accepted for the Fall 08 semester. I want to be a nurse so badly, and i want to succeed in it...but just thinking about all of it is beyond overwhelming to me. The program, the patients, the final exam at the end! I am terrified of failing, and then what do i do with my life? Its a lot to wrap my brain around. But... I am also very excited, and as corny as it may sound, you HAVE to believe you can do it. I trust my capabilities. I guess its just best to take one day at a time, or at least attempt that.:redbeathe
