Anyone else as impatient as I?

Of course, the excitement of beginning anything can be enough to make you want it NOW, but is anyone else as impatient as I to get started with pre-reqs., clinicals, and ultimately being an RN?
This attitude has always helped me in the past with accomplishing what I set forth to do, but I don't know how it may affect my decision and plan in becoming an RN. I don't want to bite off more than I can chew, as they say, but I feel incredibly empowered to have finally arrived at a profession that I know I will be able to take pride in.
Oh well, just figured I'd sound off. Thanks for reading.

I've been that way all my life! I have the patience of a fly. My clinicals don't start until next semester so I'm all antsy. I can't wait to be in the hospital setting. Especially at night. I'm an owl! :chuckle

As for biting off more than you can chew...well I think our classmates will support us and not let that happen. Think a little like a lemming in this situation and follow precidence.(sp?)

We're gonna be NURSES!!! Too cool.

Me too, Z!

Both for the patience of a fly and wanting to work the "graveyard". I guess I worry because my current secular workload won't allow me to even begin pre-reqs. properly until the Spring semester (I just found out how intense training for a new position will be July - Dec.) and I'm so indignant that I had to slap myself into promising that I wouldn't take more than one class for the Fall semester, and even that's pushing it.

I just can't wait, so sue me! :)

I am sooo ready to start this fall. I am 33 and finally figured out what I want to be now that I am grown up. :chuckle

You can count me in on that one too! I am sooo impatient! I just finished my pre-req's this spring and I can't wait for the fall semester to start! I start my clinicals in the fall and I'm so excited to FINALLY be getting started!

How big is your class? I just finished exit courses at an adult high school and got in with 3 other peole from my school but it'll be cool to go through school with people I meet here at Allnurses as well, don't you think?

Cute daughter. My support group situation is whacked. My fiancee and I are probably breaking up, my parents retired to Mexico, my sister is busy and I'm pretty private with people at school. This is my support group. You guys. (cue violins)

LOL ... I thought I was becoming obessive:rotfl: I already have my classes planned out for the rest of the summer and the fall and I'm looking into planning for the spring!!!!! Then I say to myself " HEEELLLLOOOO" start first !!:uhoh21:

I went in and registered in person with a classmate. I wanted to get my student card but I looked like c**p and since I'll be flashing it EVERYWHERE...(movie discounts, id for bars..) I want to look my best so I'm waitng until Wed. I also made sure I had every friday off! How sweet is THAT!!!
