I am set to start nursing classes in January and it's hitting me like a ton of bricks ! I was able to view the class schedules for winter semester a couple of days ago and now I know what days/times I'll be on campus. Now I know when I'll need childcare for my little people . I've never had to use daycare before so I'm not even sure where to start or how to find the best person/facility to watch my 3 yr old twins. So that is stressing me out, on top of the self doubt about whether or not I'm even smart enough for nursing school. I have gotten As in all my pre-reqs, but nursing classes seem like med school classes and that scares me! At least lectures are all on Monday, so I have a whole week to read my texts and complete assignments and study between classes. I need to go to a Dale Carnegie course or Tony Robbins or one of those self help seminars ! Is anyone else feeling overly anxious about the path they are about to embark on?

Yes I agree with you! After I found out this week and came down off cloud 9000, I was like "can I really do this, am I smart enough to get through?"
You are not alone trust me. :)

My best advice to you (and to myself) is to just take it one day at a time. It is not impossible...look at how many nurses actually finished nursing school and some, well, are probably a miracle that they did. For the most part though, as long as you put in the work you need to...you will succeed. I speak from experience as I have let my cold feet get the best of me a few times. Now I am starting in January and I am going to finish and succeed.

That is such great advice!!
like the OP, I have had plenty of time to sit here and think, "can I do this?" I keep telling myself the exact samething you wrote (but in different words). It's true I got this far so I have to keep going one day at a time, be confident that I will learn what I need to each semester to go on to the next. Not a day goes by when I don't think how will I do this in January, and then I stop take a breath and say, One day at a time.

I know just how you are feeling. I had never put my kids in daycare before either. I went to at least a dozen centers in the area, some more than once until I found the right one. I thought it would be so difficult starting new schedule, waking up wayyyyy earlier than I used to, carting them to and from childcare, finding time to study, cook, clean, etc. But I am doing it....one day at a time....and you know what.....
It isn't that bad. I actually like it and I am doing okay...you will too.

If you got all As in your prereqs, you will be fine! I found nursing classes (so far) to be easier than the prereqs. I am enjoying it (mostly!) You know up front it will require a lot of hard work, so just go into it knowing that and don't slack off. The time goes really quickly. I'm halfway through the first semester and it's going great.
Best of luck!
