Anyone else in a funk?

Anyone else just hating school this semester??

I guess its just because its new classes to get used to, but I dread going to class now. Its also the first time Ive had to take my kids to daycare in order to go to class, so thats making me feel like crap.

I just wanna break, but I know I cant stop now Im almost there....

I was hating every minute of it this semester until two days ago. It was an instructor and since I transferred out to another one, things are finally falling into place.

Hang in there. I needed everyone to remind me this last week too.

Good luck

I'm having the hardest time with this semester too. It's probably because I'm taking classes I have no real interest in, just prereq's for nursing school. But right now balancing 4 classes along with working 32 hours/week, I'm almost feeling like I've taken on too much.

It's to the point where today as I was typing up some lecture notes, I was really regretting paying my tuition last week because honestly, I'm about ready to say screw it all, I'll just stick with the career I have now. Although I know that health care is where I'd be happiest.

Somebody please, give me a swift kick in the ass!

Just hang in there, you can do it!

I am also working full time and taking 2 classes, Anatomy and Physiology 2 and Developmental Psy. Last week, I was extremely busy from work and was really not wanting to study. I prayed, and God gave me the strenght to go on.

If God can do it for me, He can do it for you as well. Just focus on the end result.

Determination is key to success.......Good luck to you!

I can really empathize. I have completed all my prereqs and due to personal reasons, had to take a deferral when my name came up on the list 2 semesters in a row...I have told myself that no matter what I will start in the Fall as I can not defer again.....

But it's been so NICE not having homework, studying, textbook reading, etc.....and sometimes I think maybe I'm too old, too tired, too burnt out already to do this....then again, every morning when I get up to the drudge, I am reminded once again why I completed all the prereqs and other courses available outside the core while working full-time.....I really can't wait to get started!

Hang in there!

hello! im new here! :)

I am SOOOO tired of this semester already!!!! All that I am taking is Micro and Religous Studies (gen ed.) but I can't stand it!! It is my last semester before I transfer so I have been spending sooo much time filling out applications for SIX different schools and preparing to take the TEAS test on Monday - I am tired of it all! We have to remember though that it is all going to worth it when we are nurses!! Hang in there everybody!!

:) Hello

It's funny b/c I am starting to feel the same way. The reason for me is because I started college straight out of high school and with a newborn son. It just feel like I am in school forever and that I need a good career so that I can take better care of my son. I am dreading the fact of puting him in daycare when I start nursing school in Aug. Just think of it like this, don't give up because in the end you will be able to help people by doing something you love and be able to provide a better life for your kids.

Oh by the way, I am one of those adolescents straight out of high school that you were talking about and trust me, you will find even more adolescents except more cockier at a university.:chuckle

I guess I dislike the enviroment. The community college I am at is all -for lack of a better word- adolescents. Kids right out of high school non serious, no adults type of thing. Ive always taken my classes online so I didnt have to go there. Next semester I'll be at a university thank goodness.

When I took general ed classes, it was all kids too, but now that I am taking harder, science classes, there are lots of "mature" students like myself.

It's not only the younger people who won't take college serious. I have encountered enough, "older" ones not applying themselves either. Makes you scratch your head....

Good luck with everything :)
