Anyone else applying to UAB NP program for Summer 2015?

I recently submitted my application to UAB FNP program starting May 2015. Just wondering if anyone else has applied as well?? If so, from which state do you live? I am from NE Florida. I hope to meet/network with other prospective students for this program. Though I'm excited it's an online program, I think I will miss the peer to peer banter! Fingers crossed on acceptance!

I am doing FNP as well. I am from Jacksonville, Fl so I have no idea where to stay in Bham. Walking distance sounds good. I couldn't find your fb page??

Regarding the HIPAA thing, I guess you have to be registered in classes to complete it. I called someone today to clarify.

I can't seem to find the Facebook page either. I just created one under UAB MSN SUMMER 2015. It's a closed group so just send me an invite to join. I can tell you that a Facebook page is a VERY good source of information. I was accepted into the Fall 2014 class, but decided to defer to Summer 2015 before the add/drop period. I am still a member of a couple Facebook pages from last years fall class and there is a wealth of information and it's a very good resource that will greatly benefit us all, I can promise you that. I am here in Oklahoma and don't know anybody that will be in the Summer 2015 class, so please pass the word around about the group. We can just use this as a general MSN group and we can branch off after one year to our own specialty groups if we want, but for now, this seems like a good idea.

OK I found the 2 groups! after you type it in your FB Search group, over on the right side click more, then on the drop down menu click groups, and the FB group will show!

Thanks so much for figuring this out! I found it, but when I searched "UAB FNP class of 2017" it actually showed up as "UAB FNP summer 2015." I'm guessing the name has been changed, but there are 9 members on this page, which is a very good start. I'm going to close the page that I created to get rid of any confusion. The page I created was called "UAB MSN summer 2015."
