I recently submitted my application to UAB FNP program starting May 2015. Just wondering if anyone else has applied as well?? If so, from which state do you live? I am from NE Florida. I hope to meet/network with other prospective students for this program. Though I'm excited it's an online program, I think I will miss the peer to peer banter! Fingers crossed on acceptance!
Has anyone looked into hotels for orientation? Where are you staying?
Also, after you have submitted your POS and signed your letter of intent, has any of your holds been lifted? I know they are on break right now, Im just not sure if I should mail my stuff in, even after I've faxed or what....
So, I just submitted my POS and agreement form for the ACNP plan of study. I see on the check-off page the due date is January 5th... and on other pages it says within 10 days of receipt of acceptance. This makes me a little bit nervous. Has everyone already submitted these documents? Do we have until January 5th or is it really within 10 days of receipt?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
I haven't seen one......I can start one. Is anyone interested in sharing a hotel room? My friends that have gone there say the double tree is the best option but it's $189 a night. Pricey! But walking distance. I'm doing FNP and so excited!!!!
I started a fb group for the FNPs!!
It's called UAB FNP class of 2017

How are you getting in-state tuition????
It is on the FAQ page. I also read it somewhere in the program info before I applied.
FAQ page: UAB - School of Nursing - FAQs
Q: Are you charged in-state or out-of-state tuition?
A: Alabama residents pay in-state tuition. All other students should plan to pay out-of-state tuition when determining the cost of their program. Currently, the university has signed a waiver for only online-specified nursing classes to be charged at the in-state cost. This waiver may be revoked at any time and does not apply to live classes. We recommend you be prepared to allocate out-of-state cost if the waiver is removed.
Have you heard differently?
