For nights it does, for some reason, I thought days was on Wed, but check your schedule

Hi everyone! :) I just sat here and read all 46 pages of posts - I think I'm ready to go now. I start first semester next week (Deland campus - days) and I'm excited/nervous/ready! I hope you second semesters will still be posting and are willing to lend a helping hand and to any of you beginning first semester along with me, let's keep in touch and support each other just like the group from last semester did! :) Good luck to everyone.

Congrats on starting your first semester JNP. I'm sure you'll do fine. You keep posting as well. I would love to hear how the new program goes.

Good luck you guys, time for round 2

i am a third semester dsc student.

just starting my first week of peds.

i am so looking forward to a break after 2nd semester.

good luck to everyone!:wink2:

I graduate from DBCC or DSC in May....Its a great school!!! Good luck....btw what teacher do you have???

congrats! i couldn't imagine how excited you must be! keep me clued as to last semester- it sounds like a whole new hell.

right now, for peds, i have dr. tighe. i have andrea angel for clinicals.

Specializes in Operating Room.

WOW andrea angel is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she was my preceptor in last semester (nov/dec '08) on mother/baby. she is soooooooooooo sweet and wants you to have a great experience. you will learn a lot for you. you're lucky to have her!

dr. tighe is a trip! she is so funny in class and she doesn't take any crap. her tests can be hard so be sure to study!

and don't worry too much about last semester. you just get through it. it goes by so fast! i just took dr. goetteman (she's the BEST! take her if you can, just not for clinicals) and received a B+ in her class, my second best grade in the program. on the first day of the semester i thought, "oh man, can i pass this class???" but i DID! i graduated with honors, have my degree framed in front of me as we speak, and am currently practicing as a GN at florida hospital :nurse:. YOU CAN ALL DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well, i had heard that "miss andrea" was one of the best, so this is very reassuring!

and i already enjoy dr. tighe's class. i'm such a nerd, but i enjoy a great, informative, conversational lecture!

in this very strange way she reminds me of sandra bernhardt. *shrug*

and again, thanks for the comforting words about last semester. i cannot wait, but there's also a lot of anxiety. :wink2:

The first week is over what does everyone think? I think it will be more intense than 1st semester but do-able. Good luck to everyone!:wink2:
