Wow, I missed all these posts. Well first week has been pretty good. I haven't even met my real instructor yet, she's been out sick so we've been having subs. Should be pretty interesting. I can't wait for the ATI stuff to come in either. That looks really helpful. The people in my class are awesome, especially the girl who finally helped me find the brachial pulse!! I had such a freakout that I wasn't going to pass my skills check off because I could auscultate a BP or palpate the brachial pulse, thankfully I'm having a better time with it. There is a lot of extra stuff to be done that we wouldn't know about until day one. It was somewhat of a bit of an overload but I'm feeling a little bit more on top of things. I've never been a flashcard maker but I am now. I know they say you can't memorize stuff but you have to know what the norms are to know if something is out of whack. Well, I guess we'll see how things go after the first test. Good luck guys, maybe we'll see each other on campus sometime

I love Daytona Beach. I can imagine going to class, then after class going to the beach to hang and chill out.Awesome. Work on my tan and go to school. Doesn't get any better than that.

I'm in the day time classes for RN and wanted to know if we need to know how to convert Fahrenheit and centigrade. I remember the teacher saying something about not needing to know it. But I'm not sure. Can anyone tell me.

If you are in Daytona Days she told us that we didn't have to know it. I suppose we will deal more with it later.

What is your name? Maybe we are in class together?

So, the first test is over... how did everyone do? Better than you expected? Worse? I have to admit after preparing myself to basically fail the first test I was quite pleased when I saw that I got my 78 with a few extra points to spare!!

I did way better than expected. I was so nervous! I thought I was going to throw up this morning.

Yeah, I had myself totally prepared to fail or just barely get the needed 78... so I was so excited to see I had done better than that. I up until the wee hours studying, then back up super early for a last cram session. It definitely paid off.. but what a stressful morning.

Now I just have to start preparing for the evals!!!

OMG, thank god the first test is over. I just studied and studied all along and thank god it worked! I really wasn't sure what to study for or how to do it, but I passed! Got an 85% with the quiz points. I am so happy!:roll
