Anyone applying to Texas Tech's program, specifically the 2nd degree Austin program? What is your work experience? What prereqs have you taken/still need? Volunteering? GPA? Heard anything interesting lately about the program? Let's get to chatting!
I'm with Jenny on this one. I think if all grades were factored in, I wouldn't have an interview either. I'm going to assume that anyone that got an interview met at least their basic requirements and the final decision will be based on your "fit" for the program.
Jenny, I'm on the 28th at 10am. What time did you choose? Maybe we can meet.
Just finishing up my essays now. Not gonna lie, fitting answers into 500 words was a bit of a challenge. Hopefully I got my points across.
I'm actually in Temple which is about 50min - 1hr north of Austin. If I get accepted, hopefully I can land my clinicals at St. David's because it's only about 35-40 drive door to door. Figures crossed, but I'd really be happy just getting accepted, even if I get stuck doing rotations somewhere else.
I dont think I'll be around that late Jenny. I'm finishing up the last couple classes for pre-reqs and have a test the next day, so I'm gonna chat it up with the current students for a bit and then head out and study. Good luck on the interview, I chose early on day one so I could calm my nerves as quickly as possible! ha
Hi ya'll, I have not posted in a while but I wanted to say congrats to everyone who has made it to the interview process and those of you that were accepted to the El Paso cohort, how exciting! My interview is scheduled for the 28th as well wishing everyone luck. I know this is probably a long shot, does anyone know how many people are being interviewed?
Hey ya'll! So just some info on my situation for anyone who is wondering or is roaming the forum and is in the same position:
So I told the TTU-El Paso advisor that I am wanting to be a part of their program but the Austin cohort is closer and basically if they could give me an extension or something related to accept their offer. She forwarded the email to the admission people and they basically said for me to accept the offer or be wait listed. I told them that I'd appreciate it if they waitlist me.
I'm basically gambling my admission to nursing school! I just got accepted to another school (I applied to 6! expensive:uhoh3:!) which I'm declining (it's not an accelerated program); I truly thought I was not going to get accepted anywhere and was going to apply to 4 more schools and just keep on trying.
I dunno where I'm going
Thanks for reading!! Is TTU ya'll's #1 choice? Good luck ya'll

My interview is on the 28th, so I'll be part of the first group to interview. I'm pretty sure they only look at our prereq and science gpa but I'm not 100% Because I believe if they were to have looked at all of my college courses gpa, I most likely not have been invited for an interview!
