I haven't heard from any Gwinnett Tech applicants on here lately, is anyone here applying? I took the HESI evolve reach today, and I feel like I may still be in the running for one of the few spots that they have available. If anyone here thinks they might possibly get in, lets all start some communication on here so we can keep up with everything that's going on.
Well, i am not cute_in_scrubs (quite honestly i am "big butt in scrubs") BUT i was in the same group as her today...My best advice is to prepare for a panel interview. Initially is was a tad bit intimidating, but they were real people and it felt comfortable within about 5 minutes. You do not have to compete with everyone else for a chance to answer, but be prepared to answer questions about why you want to be a nurse, etc. Also, be prepared to answer specific questions about your resume and what skills you bring from your experiences.
I just got home from my interview.Whiskey has it right, just answer the question they give you. Some questions we had in our group.
How does your experience as a ( what is ever on your resume) going to help you be a good nurse?
What will you do if you dont get accepted.
What have you done to make you a an applicant stand out?
If you had to do something as a nurse that was against your morals. What would you do?
What is your learning style?
Thats all I can think of right now.
@smytht, you should DEFINITELY study for the entrance test. Unless the metric system, roman numerals, military time, fractions, decimals, and percentages are something you use regularly! The interview wasn't all that bad, I don't like talking in large groups (reminds me of speech class!) but everyone was very nice and made it as comfortable as possible. Good luck for next year!
I agree. Am I the only one who has a stomach ache? 2 weeks...... poor mail person. ha ha
I have a stomach ache, headache, everything! This process has been long and grueling! We should have met up for happy-hour afterwards! Then, we wouldn't care anymore!! Seriously, it's in God's hands now, that's what I keep telling myself anyway.
So does gwinnett tech have a LPN or RN program? I just need to know because Im doing all my pre reqs at GPC but Im hearing they are stifflers about admitting the qualified people.
It's an RN program. Check out their website, Gwinnetttech.edu (how do I make that a hyperlink?) anyway,it has alot of useful info on the program there.
