I haven't heard from any Gwinnett Tech applicants on here lately, is anyone here applying? I took the HESI evolve reach today, and I feel like I may still be in the running for one of the few spots that they have available. If anyone here thinks they might possibly get in, lets all start some communication on here so we can keep up with everything that's going on.
Two tops, three pairs of pants, lab coat and the name tag came to $160.00. Only two pairs of pants were required, but i like to keep a spare pair in my vehicle, because you never know what could happen during clinicals. The sizing is weird...you will be sent a link and they give the measurements...they did run large though. We did not have the exact same choices for the tops as the first year students had, so i have no idea what the next classes choices will be. The uniforms though are of good, heavy material that is comfortable, not all itchy like some of the cheaper scrubs. Also, they are not nearly as horrible as some of the other ones out there that i have seen.
I have so many questions that I could fire off at you nursing students. lol
I am finished with Micro this Fall, so I won't get my grades until mid December which does not give me too much time before the Jan 15 cut off to take the test and what else is needed.
Also, what are your hours like in Nursing school and where are your clinicals?
Hey all and especially previous nursing students,
I am getting ready to order my uniforms and wanted to purchase a different brand for my scrub pants that I know fit me well. Do they make a big stinker about not buying the nursing student scrub pants from that website as long as you have the correct student scrub top with the badge on it? I really hate elastic waist scrub pants and opt for the tie front pant. What do you guys recommend?
Thanks!

Word of advise: Do NOT buy scrubs. THere is a uniform that you will have to order from a specific company.
And the trick about the acceptance does not give you any further notice than your actual acceptance. My status changed in the morning and i received the email acceptance that afternoon. Also, it was over a month after the interview. Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but unfortunately there is not alot you can do until they notify you that you are in. Do not buy books based on what you hear other classes have used (i know that they are previewing other text books for the first year students. i have seen the many stacks in the instructors office). Truely, and i know it is very hard to do, but hang tight. There will be answers coming.
