Anyone applying to Gwinnett Tech fall 2010 class?

I haven't heard from any Gwinnett Tech applicants on here lately, is anyone here applying? I took the HESI evolve reach today, and I feel like I may still be in the running for one of the few spots that they have available. If anyone here thinks they might possibly get in, lets all start some communication on here so we can keep up with everything that's going on.

I am starting at Gwinnett Tech this Summer to continue with my PreReqs. Wanted to ask some experineced Gwinnett Tech ladies. So my last semester of PreReqs are Spring 2011. I will be missing the last two Biologys and Humanities at the January cutoff date to apply for the 2011 Nursing Program. Does that mean that I have to wait 15 months to get into the 2012 Program? Also, if I do wait for 2012 how often do they do the A2 test and is that the only test that you have to do?

Sorry about all the questions even though I am MONTHS away I am already freaking out about all of the what ifs.

BTW, Congratulations to all of you that got accepted. I know that you all worked extremely hard and deserved it.

Yes you have to have all the "core" prereqs out of the way in order for you to be eligible. That includes all science classes. The A2 test is only given once to those who meet the criteria, and you must be invited to take the test. As far as I know that is the only test they accept at GTC. I totally understand freaking out waaaaay ahead of schedule..... I was, and still am the same way! Good luck to you!

Hey Cute in Scrubs! I have been watching these posts to see the progress. I am going to apply for the Fall 2011 class. I recently went to the information session that was held at GTC. Am I correct in thinking that Kim said that the HESI does have a chemistry portion to it, but they do not use it to figure your score? Do you remember??

Yeah, the company that makes the test does offer a chem. section. However, we don't have to take that part of the exam. Also we don't have to worry about the physics portion either. Good luck to you Happyinga!

OK. Thanks!!! I was hoping that was true. I want to make GTC my first choice and although I have taken Chemistry I have not used it in a while and therefore have forgotten alot! Physics!! That is just nuts! Why does anyone test on that for Nursing??? No program in GA requires a pre-nursing student to take Physics but then some schools want to test you on it for the Entrance Exam.
