I haven't heard from any Gwinnett Tech applicants on here lately, is anyone here applying? I took the HESI evolve reach today, and I feel like I may still be in the running for one of the few spots that they have available. If anyone here thinks they might possibly get in, lets all start some communication on here so we can keep up with everything that's going on.
I personally do. I was impressed when she said that. It also shows that they are willing to work with people that might have trouble with a certain subject. I GPC just fails you kicks you out of the program. This is also why GPC has a 100% pass rate on the NCLEX, everybody that might fail, is already gone. Instead of actually having a good program they just look like they do.
Wow...that is a bizarre approach to succesful stats, but i am told there is actually a public school district in the area that does the same thing with the manadatory high school graduation test.
My younger sister has been a nurse for 20 years. She really had to bust her butt just to pass her nursing classes. But the nursing school she went to worked with her and helped her to succeed and graduate. She is an incredible nurse! We worked together years ago in the CCU/step down units and i was floored at how natural she was at it. Both the patients and the families loved her. She is my inspiration, but looking at it honestly, she probably would not have made it even into a program by todays guidelines. That makes me wonder what WOULD be the ideal criteria for selection into such a small program. Interviews? If you think about it, looking at our interview, they are not really gonna have any chance to know who we are. The session is 1 hour and there are 10 of us in each. By the time we get in to and out of the room and are explained the proceedure, there were be about 5 minutes for each of us. When i was in management, we set a side an hour to each candidate for a receptionist position.
Also, i dont know about you two, but the research that i have done shows that a panel interview is different from a round robin interview. Kim said in the meetings that they have changed how they are doing it this year. Do either of you have an idea of what we should expect? Are we all gonna be given the same question and then have to answer in turn? What if the girl next to me uses my answer before me? The fact that they are not even gonna review our resumes ahead of time makes me reallly wonder.
I dont know what really to expect but Im not too worried about it. The thing that would make me a little worried is if they were going to ask questions like anatomy and micro. I would want to study for something like that. I highly doubt that since its going to be people from other programs.
Im getting alittle worried about where I am in the 60.
Thats were i am coming from too! I have to wonder though because she was so vague about how many points these things will give us. My husband tells me to just have faith. I am trying!!!!
I cant even imagine what it is going to be like sitting and waiting for the mail man. I am on 12 hour shifts so i actually do have a lot of days at home. I am gonna meet my mailman at the box one day next week and give him full warnign and ask him NOT to call the police on me if i follow him around the subdivision.
I know Kim said those accepted will receive a info packet in May, but do you have any idea what they text book costs are for the first quarter? i tried looking in follet.com but i am getting no joy. Since i am paying as i am going i am trying to budget. Do you know anyone currenty in the program?
MAY? really? I wonder what the point is in that? I really hope they tell us if we get in before then.
I don't know anyone in the program now, I kinda wish I did.
I think I might have been turned down for Clayton State to. I know someone that had and interview already and I have heard nothing. Geez I didnt think my grades were that bad.

wow...that is an amazing statistic. 50%. I was really interested to hear that the GTC 2009 ADN class has only lost 1 person thus far. Do you think that such retention is a sign of good screening?
