Anyone applying to the Duke ABSN program for Fall 2009 (c/o 2011)?

I also just finished my interview (by phone) this afternoon. I was asked questions about my background, why Duke, what I have to offer, etc. I loved the person I interviewed with and felt like we made a good connection. At this point, we all just have to wait and see.

Is there anyone out there who still has not heard anything? I just read a really long thread from last year about alot of people getting waitlisted - if that becomes the case with me, I could really use some fellow waitlisters to compare with. Anyone?

Yes, I think there are still quite a few of us who haven't heard anything--at least those of us who interviewed on Friday. I think they have said that everyone will be notified by the end of February or beginning of March.

I woke up to find that Duke had rendered a decision: I got in too.....!

Now I have to decide what to do.....and who's paying for it.....

Congrats on those acceptances! I'm still waiting. Anyone else other than me and gtscryss? Gtscryss, I read that thread too. I would imagine people may just pay the deposit and then go somewhere else due to money, or at least that was the vibe I got from that thread last I read it. When did you interview?

I interview on the 16th of Jan - the first one. So, yeah I have been waiting a long time & so far everyone on here has gotten in besides one who was denied, and me who has heard nothing. You still have the rest of the day to hear something though, with the luck everyone has had who has been on this thread, you will most likely get accepted, lol. But yeah, if you don't hear anything we can join the waiting game together :)

Yeah it seemed like a lot of people got into UNC last year & went there instead. I haven't really gotten the vibe that there are many people considering other options based on here & the people I talked to in my interview, have you? (Anyone who feels differently, please tell us your thoughts)

I feel your pain. I interviewed during the 2nd Duke Day (01/30) and am waiting. I've noticed that everyone on here is getting in too, except for one that I can think of. So I am definitely joining you in this waiting game.

I agree too that it seems as though Duke is a good option for everyone I talked with on here and at my interview day. I do wonder though, if when it gets down to it, that people will consider less expensive programs. But like you said, I haven't gotten that vibe. A part of me wants to email Melissa to see when to expect a yes/no or when the waitlist will come out, but I'm trying to be patient also. Hopefully we'll find out something soon!! Are you local to NC and also considering UNC? It sounds like UNC waits until the last minute to let people know. I'm going to apply to UNC for the next spring start, so I can't apply there until this summer. Best of luck to you too!!
