With only 4 weeks until we can start applying, I thought that it would be nice to start a new thread so that we can all keep in touch, pass along information, and post our stats.
The more the merrier! I can't wait to meet all of you guys, we have been through some nail biting situations together already! The campus is really not that large it just looks a little confusing. I think the hardest part to the semester is going to find parking for our Thursday and Friday class especially in the beginning.
Was there a change in the schedule for registration? I just logged on to look at class times and I swear I registered for Lodi Memorial for Nur2 but now my schedule says Sutter Tracy for nursing 2??? I guess I could have miss registered but I really had thought in my head I registered for Lodi?? Let me know please if you have the same issue.
What shoes did you all get(if you got them yet)? Any deals to be had out there. I tried on a pair of Landau shoes at at uniform store here in Stockton and really liked the way they felt, except the back was cut too low and I felt my foot would slip out of them. But now I am on the hunt for the spring cushion feel those shoes had!!
I checked my registration and it all looks the same..nothing has changed on mine....maybe they changed something for those clinical sites??
I was debating on whether to go for some simple white New Balance walking shoes...or some type of nursing shoe...I think i'm just going to have to try a bunch on lol...I've worn Nike's ..the pegasus and the shox..and reeboks...and they never last me very long..so I read up and noticed a lot of Nurse's like the New Balance or the danskos
I talked to my running shoe guy and he recommended the the Brooks Addiction Walker. I need a stability shoe. Anyone tried Brooks before? I'm normally a New Balance girl myself. Does anyone know how stricted they are on the white they are? Is it only white on white or so you think we can get away with some muted trim?
It looks like there are a pair of Brooks addiction walker that is all white

I normally wear a motion control New Balance. Yesterday I tried on a pair of all white New Balance 926. They felt great. They said they were $139, however when I went home I looked them up and found them no longer being made and if you can find them they are at a discounted price between 50-80 or so. They are being replaced with a New Balance 927 but reviews haven't been as kind. I think I will go try to find those today and try a pair on. I will also try the Brooks if I see them.:) Have a great day all!
After trying on several types of shoes, I bought a pair of New Balance. They were the most comfortable and had enough cushion so that my feet wont hurt after 8 hours on them.
I too had a question about how "white" they have to be because the logo on mine is blue, but the rest of the shoe is white. The all white one's were just not as comfortable for me. If anyone finds out, please let me know.

Thanks everyone for all your help on that attachment! I did get that chore accomplished, but wouldn't have been done without my new fellow RN Students! Thanks again!
