Anyone Applying to Delta College for Spring 2011

With only 4 weeks until we can start applying, I thought that it would be nice to start a new thread so that we can all keep in touch, pass along information, and post our stats.

@RNBound83.. After 2 weeks or so after the deadline i got an email from them. I was shocked and I felt like I wanted to die. I know I had a chance because I have AA/AS degree, Speak a foreign Language, Low income, first generation, TEAS is high enough, Pre- req's are all A's.The sad part also was, I sent my TEAS transcript to SJ Valley College!.. I emailed them begging to re-consider and NOPE and I totally understand. OMG.. but this time I triple checked.

I dropped my packet off yesterday! I checked it about a million times so I hope everything is in there! Now it's the waiting game for all of us. I hope we get really good news here in a little over a month! Good luck everyone!

I know a couple of people on this thread are from Sac...did any of you apply to ARC and Sac City? I have been watching the updates in the self service center and Sac city had put that it was submitted online and then on 10/18 they put that my application has been received then today they updated it again ( I was stoked it was so fast) and it went back to application submitted online! I'm not sure if it was a mistake or what but the next updates should be either that I'm qualified or missing docs so I'm nervous! Did this happen to anyone else?

I also applied for SCC & ARC. My app status changed to Application Qualified a few hours after I turned in my docs to SCC. It took almost a week for ARC to update my status to qualified. I just checked right now & it still says qualified for both schools. It's weird how they keep changing your status. Maybe give them a call to make sure nothing is wrong.

I turned it in last Thursday to both I think so maybe I'll give it until tomorrow. I was tempted to call but all over their page it says don't call so I really don't want to push my luck :-) Maybe I'll try to find an email for the department and email them. I'm hoping they will correct it by tomorrow.....I'm just so impatient!

Hey guys

Today is the deadline for submitting documents for SJ delta college. What they mean by "Final ranking".

Do they take away points too. I don't know what that means.

@DD2010....I think they just need to verify with your supporting docs that you actually do qualify for those points that you noted on your application.

@kwade84...I also submitted my apps for ADN and LVN at sac city last Thursday. My status still says application submitted however mine doesn't show a "last updated on" date...My app was a reapply status for both so I really only had to submit my cover page for the ADN and a few others for the LVN. Not sure whats going on there! If you find an email please share I would like to find out as well. ;) Good Luck! Do you live up in Sac area or are you closer to Delta? I'm closer to Delta but hey I'm not picky at this point I will take whatever I get, if I get!:up:

Say someone has really good scores in everything and they mark that they have volunteer 200 hours, but delta feels that the supporting documentation for the 200 hours was not enough. Will they really throw out the entire application off of not having enough documentation for one point?

Yes, we need to be able to support EVERYTHING that they included on the application. One of the earlier posts on here had someone do that exact thing, and they were disqualified because of a problem with their volunteer hours.
