Rejection letters definitely went out already. A few weeks ago people in my classes got them. I've also spoken to admissions and they confirm that! We are all accepted or waitlisted.

I should have been more specific.... Letters went out to the people who's GPA did not qualify. Idk if they are still denying applications or not.

Hopefullinurse, I too was denied from SBU, with a 4.0 gpa and 200 hours of volunteering there. Good luck with Suffolk! Maybe that's just our destiny, for now. I don't have any prior degrees so I only applied to the basic program, and was disappointed/angry to have been rejected. Hoping for some happiness from Suffolk :)

kjm84 - I feel your pain. I was very upset to have been rejected, but when I saw the responses from people on the Stony Brook thread and saw how many others were rejected, I tried not to take it so personally. It's hard, though.

I know someone who applied for Stony Brook's Masters nursing program and did not make it. She said that a lot of people were rejected from Stony Brook because they had to cut a lot of instructors due to budgetary reasons. Also, that they were accepting a lot more people from out of state (because they would have to pay more to attend, and so SBU would get more money that way). I don't know if either is true, but it makes sense.

Nobody from micro class last night got a letter either.....with the exception of one student who was part of the very first cut or rejection a couple of weeks ago.

I will try not to tackle my mailman this afternoon! :lol2:

Also...does anyone know why the times of these posts are sooooo off? It is 9am and it's saying I posted at 12:00 something? Strange, my time on iPad is correct...hmmmm
