I was just wondering if there is anyone out there who applied to the Michigan State or University of Michigan accelerated programs for 2010? I applied to both but haven't heard anything back yet. I just wanted to know if anyone else has heard anything. Thanks! :)

I applied to both programs. I got accepted at U of M's program. I found out the first week of January. A friend of mine applied at the same time I did (back in August) and she just found out yesterday that she's been accepted. Not sure why it took so long for her decision. I suspect that you'll be hearing from U of M pretty soon. They told me that they hope to have all their decisions made by March.
Letters from MSU went out on Friday (2/19), so I expect to see that letter in my mailbox on Monday.
Good luck to all!
Living4Peace - it looks like we'll be in the same class!
I am from Traverse City! Are you from TC?
Congrats on getting into UofM everyone!!! :) I'm so nervous about getting the MSU letter next week, it's my first choice. I think I haven't heard back yet from UofM because I didn't turn my app in until January. I had a hard time deciding what to write for the UofM general app short essays.
Yes, I'm from Traverse City. I thought about going to MSU, but the
campus was WAY too large for my comfort. I'm currently in NMU's BSN program.

MSU's campus is definitely big. I have my first degree from there. I went to a tiny high school (I mean TINY - graduating class of 20), but I was fine when I got to MSU. You get used to a campus that size. I loved every second of my time there.
I did my first degree at MSU and I was definitely uncomfortable at first! I didn't like some of the large lecture hall classes. I didn't think I could handle schools in the UP because of the winters, but I have friends that went to schools up there and they had SO much fun!
Do you plan on moving back to TC after graduation? I would love to work at Munson. I volunteered there for over a year and loved it.
Good luck finishing your BSN! I hope I get into an accelerated program so I can get started on my way to become a nurse! :)
I personally love the UP winters.
I would LOVE to work at Munson, but my fiance is a computer science major graduating this May. There aren't any jobs available for him in TC.
Have you heard from MSU? I didn't get a letter in the mail yesterday, hopefully it comes today.
I didn't get a letter yesterday either. I really hope it comes today!
