Hi all! I also posted this thread in the Nursing Student forum, but haven't gotten any replies, so I thought I would post here in hopes of getting back at least one reply!
I applied for the fall semester at the Baptist School of Health Professions evening/weekend program in San Antonio. Looks like I won't be able to quit my day job like I had hoped, so that is the reason for me applying to the evening program. I would like to know if anyone else has applied for this program for the fall semester, or if anyone is currently doing the evening/weekend program while holding a full-time job during the day. How is the work load? How are the Saturday clinicals? I'm aware this is going to be a challenge, but I'm very willing and ready, and very excited!!
I appreciate any feedback...thanks! :)

I am also taking the NET tomorrow in order to apply for this fall. Have ya'll finished your pre-reqs? I am in the process of finishing mine right now. I am planning on doing the evening program so that I can keep my day job and the income it provides. Has anyone gone to the open house that they offer? Was it beneficial?
im seriously looking into this program. i have all the prerequisites but i dont really know much about the program. how do i apply. ive already taken the net. how do they accept the applicants and how many do they normally accept. is it really competitive.
I haven't attended Open House yet, but will go tomorrow. I'm also curious as to what they will discuss there.
So you all took the NET this past Saturday too? What did you think? It wasn't hard, but the fact that it was timed made it a little stressful, and there were a couple of math problems I didn't get to answer because time ran out. I'm a little worried about that! (Math has never been my best subject.) And IMO, a couple of the reading comprehension and grammar questions were a little tricky too. Now the test is over with, and the waiting begins. Thank goodness we don't have to wait long for the scores. We should be able to call the school in a week to check.
Good luck to everyone, and hopefully we'll be seeing each other in school this fall!
I am planning on attending the Open House tomorrow as well. Hopefully, it will be full of useful info. As for the NET, I thought the math wasn't too bad, but I thought the timed aspect of the reading made it difficult. I read fairly quickly, but on the test I seemed to go back and re-read every paragraph. We will just have to wait and see. I am glad that we will get our responses quickly. That makes the wait so much easier.

I applied too for the fall, I took the NET this past Saturday, Was not too bad, i guess. I did not get accepted to SAC so i am going to try Baptist.
I think we should be hearing about acceptance mid-may...for the fall program.. anyone know how many they are accepting for the night program??? I looked at the program outline...and still a little confused on how the classes will work....hmmmmm..to the OP I agree I dont think the net was hard per say... the fact that it was timed... there were a few math questions I could have gotten correct given more time....well we shall see what happens.. does anyone know, if letters are sent or email?
Steph
At Open House, they said they only accept about 20 people for the evening program. As for the acceptance letter, they said it will be sent via email. The suspense is killing me already! At least another two weeks until we get that letter...
Did anyone else get an email from the school requesting to complete that survey through Gallup? I did that Monday night.

I also applied to Baptist, but for the day program. I took the Gallup survey on Tuesday. Was that weird or what? I can't imagine anyone putting a negative answer on that. I was a little annoyed that this survey wasn't given before the original deadline of May 1. I guess that means their decision was delayed until after everyone did the survey by midnight on Wednesday. I guess I'm just so anxious to know! So, we will get the acceptance letter by email? I can't wait to find out! The anticipation is killing me!
Good luck to everyone!
Yes I got the survey as well. I wonder how many people applied for night verses day...
