Anyone Applied to Baptist's Evening Program in San Antonio?

Published

Hi all! I also posted this thread in the Nursing Student forum, but haven't gotten any replies, so I thought I would post here in hopes of getting back at least one reply!

I applied for the fall semester at the Baptist School of Health Professions evening/weekend program in San Antonio. Looks like I won't be able to quit my day job like I had hoped, so that is the reason for me applying to the evening program. I would like to know if anyone else has applied for this program for the fall semester, or if anyone is currently doing the evening/weekend program while holding a full-time job during the day. How is the work load? How are the Saturday clinicals? I'm aware this is going to be a challenge, but I'm very willing and ready, and very excited!!

I appreciate any feedback...thanks! :)

Awesome! Hopefully so! I don't really know anyone else that is applying other than the people I've read from here. I hope we all hear soon!

Okay, not sure if any one else has called or emailed the advisor, but I emailed her last Thursday and she finally replied to my email this morning. She said that acceptance letters got pushed back until the first week of June! UGH, this is much too long of a wait!

I wonder if that means it's more competetive this year or what. Does anyone know what is considered competetive on the net scores and pre-requisite GPA? I know there are over 200 applicants and 50 spots. Lol, I really wish classes would start so I'd have something else to think about.

I was wondering the same thing! I just want to know already! At the open house the lady said the minimum on the NET was a 50 and she said they were taking in between the 60-70 range. What have y'all heard?

I spoke to a couple different people about competitiveness. One lady said they generally accept NET scores of 75 and above. I only scored a 74 on a previous NET test (long story; it was a different test from over a year ago), and so I was going to take it again. Then, I talked to a different person, and she said that I shouldn't have had to take the NET over again, that that score was good. So . . .I did take it over, and got a 78 . . .still nowhere near what I expected of myself. She also said a 3.5 GPA and obove are competitive. My GPA with their prereq's is a 3.63 with an overall of 3.77. I don't feel great about my scores, it seems like I'm just meeting the bare minimum of what they require.

I just want to know too!!! The waiting is driving me crazy:bugeyes:!!!
