If you are currently a student, have graduated or going into this program, how do you like it? Do you feel prepared for nclex? How are the teachers, clinical sites? Anything and everything will be so greatly appreciated! I would love to hear any input that you can provide for me. Thank you. =)

...... and learn it and understand it.....oh and remember it and apply it!:D

I sure am hon!! I wonder how many people will be there!! I'm excited to go!

Just curious if anyone went to the info session on Thursday? I had to reschedule and I'm going to the info session this coming Thursday. I just wanted to find out how it went and get all the info.. did anyone go?

I did go to one of the RN info sessions at americare (ambria). I have mixed feelings on their program. If anyone wants to know anything more message me.

Did they say how long the program was or how much it costs VS the LPN program? Did they say what the schedule would be like or where clinicals would be?

They did say that they both cost the same.. so approx 21,000-22,000 for each... We only talked about the RN program for a little bit..but all of the clinicals are in chicago.. which is good for us!!:lol2:

You don't have messaging capabilities until you have either 10 or 15 posts hon.. but please share what they said, what your mixed feelings are etc...so that we all can know...if that's okay. Thanks!:)

Sorry I was not aware about messaging. The program can vary in length depending on, part time VS full time, and how many of the other required courses you have taken, or not taken. When they were explaining the cost to us there were several figures ranging from 18000 to upwards of 50000. Again depending on what transfer credits you have. She said it was some where around 650(ish) a credit hour. You have to already be an LPN, as this is just a bridge program. Which is not specified on their website. They also give preferred admission to former graduates of Americare. It seems like its pretty legit, however I would be hesitant to be in the first graduating class (starts in May), but thats just me. Give them time to work out the kinks, if there were to be any. A few people did walk out during the orientation. I guess my only complaint really, was when several people asked questions the president, I forget his name sorry. Could not answer them and had to leave several times to ask himself, but he did get answers.

Okay gotcha..thanks for answering hon!!.. John is the president's name. Yah, I knew it was LPN to RN bridge.. they do need to make it clearer on their website. They told us at the LPN session that it was pretty much around $22000 for RN..but that's obviously the price if you are doing LPN and then LPN to RN all there....I have talked to a few people who are there there are they are very happy. If you go full-time for the LPN to RN bridge..how long did it take? They were saying how eventually they wanted to have BSN there too.

Do you have your LPN?? Are you applying anywhere else??
